The MOST Effective Weight Loss Recipe!

Hey everybody!
Today I want to show you how you can do a super delicious Stir Fry with rice. This is not only very easy and fast, but also incredibly healthy and thus, also perfect for everyone who wants to get in shape for summer. This is such a basic recipe that I make almost every evening. I hope you enjoy it as I also lost quite a bit of blood while cutting the sweet onions :)

Stir Fry with Rice (Vegan)

Ingredients (makes 2 large portions)
  • 120g of rice in a cooking bag
  • 1 onion
  • 1 peperoni
  • handful of various veggies (here I used: sweet onion, sweet corn, broccoli, sugar snaps)
  • soy sauce
  • coriander
  • ginger

Instruction

 1. Boil the water in a small pot with a bit of salt.

2. Once it starts boiling, put in the rice in the cooking bag. Cook it as long as the package tells you (here 10 min).

3. While the rice is cooking, cut all the vegetables.

4. Add a bit of olive oil in a pan and head it up.

5. Add all the veggies and fry them till they are slightly brown.

  6. Add the cooked rice. Mix it up and flavour it with salt, pepper, soy sauce, ginger and coriander.

And then you are done in about 15 minutes with an incredible delicious meal! For this recipe you can use so many different vegetables, you can add chicken or shrimps, so that it never gets boring.
It is really satisfying and still healthy. So please give it a try and tell me what you think about it!

Have a delicious food day! :)

How BenjimanTV saved my life

Hello everyone!

How are you? This blog post will be different from my other posts. This will be a personal message to Benji, also known as Benjimantv who is Judy's husband and also has his own youtube channel (Link) and uploads great food pictures on his Instagram account (Link). I am not silly, I know that he probably will never read this, but I really have to thank him. If you want to know why, then keep on reading.

Dear Benji,

firstly, congratulations on birth of your lovely girls Keira and Miya. Also with having your sweet daughter Julianna and the wonderful Judy, you are having such a beautiful family!
You are not only a great father and inspiring considering your regular workout routine, but also an amazing cook. And that's actually the point of this post. You are focusing on cooking healthy with lots of vegetables while keeping it tasty. Additionally, you are combining Japanese food with international recipes. I love the excitement that you put into buying groceries and preparing the recipes and in the end, sharing that all with us.

Because of you, I have rediscovered my passion for healthy cooking, enjoying cooking and actually carrying about what I put into my body.
The thing is that I have a rather hard relationship with food. 4 years ago I became anorexic. The cause were personal problems in school including bullying. It took me a long time to find a way out of this illness and only stopped therapy 1 1/2 years ago. Since then my relationship to food stayed pretty difficult as I swapped between an incredible healthy lifestyle to eating total crap.
It was never that bad that I only ate fast food because I always stayed an athletic person and never wanted to ruin my body totally. However, I stopped carrying about food, I didn't enjoy eating and didn't want to eat any veggies explicitly.
You not only pushed myself back into my old fitness level, but also revived the conscience of eating healthy and actually carrying about what I put into my body. I am also not talking about a temporary change as I already changed my whole eating habits for one month now and I am not even thinking about changing this any soon. As everyone says, fitness and health is made in the kitchen and I can totally confirm this.
So thank you so so much, Benji! By sharing your healthy and tasty recipes with the world, you have changed my life completely. You helped me to come back on track and to actually build up a healthy relationship to food.
Thank you very much for this!!!

All the best,

Marie

Chickpea Feta Salad

Hello guys!

How are you? I try to keep up a healthy diet, however, during the last days I happened to have a few cheat meals. Thus, I thought it would be a great idea to soften my guilty feelings by preparing a healthy chickpea feta salad with bell pepper and lemon grass. This is a great protein and carb source based on legumes. So let's have a look:

Chickpea Feta Salad
makes 2 big servings

■ 250g chickpeas
■ 1 bell pepper
■ 200g feta
■ dressing: lemon grass, pepper, salt, oil, balsamico, herbs

This salad can be prepared incredibly fast, so there is no excuse why you shouldn't eat healthy after a stressful working day. I really like the taste between the chickpeas in combination with the feta and especially the lemon grass. I am currently really in love with lemon grass!

I hope you liked this recipe. Let me know whether you liked it and tell me whether you also have a favourite food or spice currently?

Chicken with Green Beans & Sweet Potato Wedges

Hello guys!

How are you?
I hope you are enjoying the day and you are conscience of your body, your health and how you can influence this by having a good diet and exercising. I will update you on my gym experience and how my fitness plan has changed, however, today we want to focus on our diet. Proteins are even for women essential. They are great for gaining muscles and also satisfy incredibly long. So here is an amazing recipe which is super healthy and really delicious.

Recipe

1. Peel the sweet potato and cut it in wedges.

2. Spread them onto a baking sheet with baking paper. Add herbs, bell pepper powder, soya sauce and onion to the wedges. Bake them at 200°C for 25 min.

3. Then I used a lighter version of cottage cheese, called quark, and mixed it with herbs, salt, pepper and onion.

4. Boil the green beans for approx. 8 min.

5. Meanwhile fry the chicken with a bit of salt and pepper and when everything is ready, you're done!

I can tell you that this meal was incredibly satisfying. It is a really healthy meal that helps you to lose weight as well as gaining muscles. The chicken and the light cream delivers the required proteins, the sweet potatoes the healthy carbs and the green beans your daily portion of veggies.

Tofu Field Salad Recipe

Hello guys!

I hope you are doing well!
As I have promised you, I will share with you a few more recipes as I am living alone now and on top of that, my kitchen has a lot more light than the old one. I am cooking pretty healthy and try to incorporate protein into nearly every single meal. Today I made a delicious Tofu Field Salad. Thus, this recipe is perfect for weight loss or also for building muscles depending on how the rest of your diet plan looks like. Also this is a great alternative for vegetarians or vegans when you want t build muscles without eating meat or products made out of milk.

Recipe

1. Cut the tofu in small cubes.

2. Mix aceto di balsamico, salt, pepper, mustard and garlic in a bowl.

3. Marinade the tofu with it and let it soak for 30 minutes.

4. Wash the field salad.

5. Cut any vegetables that you like. I found a cucumber and bell pepper in my fridge and put it to the field salad.
6. Roast the tofu with a bit oil in a pan.
7. Add the rest of the marinade to the salad and make, if necessary, a bit more marinade/dressing.

8. And serve the salad with the roasted tofu on top of it.

This was my dinner. It's pretty simple, but really delicious and can be cooked incredibly fast. I hope you liked this recipe and tell me when you have tried it and if you want to have more recipe posts. I wish you a wonderful day!

My Famous Thai Lemon Red Chicken Curry!

Hello everybody!

Yesterday I cooked dinner for my whole family and that can be quite tricky because every one has got other preferences or food that he absolutely hates. However, I cooked an incredible delicious Thai Lemon Red Chicken Curry that is a light and healthy dinner because of all the vegetables. And even though this recipe contains so many veggies, the men ate it because it was so super tasty :) Of course, the choice of vegetable is variable, I just add the ones that my family likes, so let's get started.

Ingredients for 4 portions:

600 g
turkey breast, cutted into strips
1-2 large
garlic gloves, finely chopped
1 piece (3 cm, 1 inch)
ginger
½
lemon, juice and skin
2 tsp
soy sauce
2 tsp
Sambal Oelek
4 tbsp
vegetable stock
2
1 tin (400g)
courgettes
chinese vegetables
cayenne pepper
oil

Instruction:

1. Chop all the vegetables in small pieces. Here I quartered two courgettes.
2. Wash and drain the asian vegetables.
3. Chop approx. 3 cm / 1 inch of ginger into really small pieces. Add two garlic gloves and press them through a garlic press. You can also go for one garlic glove and a few spring onions.
4. Chop 600g of turkey breast into strips.

5. Heat the wok with some oil. Fry the chicken until it is well done and season with salt and pepper.
6. Add all the vegetables, the garlic and ginger and fry everything for another minute.
7. Now there comes my favourite part - the sauce. I do most of it based on my feelings but add about 2 tsp of soy sauce, 2 tsp of sambal oelek, 4 tbsp of vegetable stock and the juice and skin of half of an lemon. For the extra spice you can add a bit of cayenne pepper. Steam it at medium head for 10 minutes.

And then you are done. I served it with some basic white rice, but can also go for brown rice or wild rice. It was super delicious, because it had the perfect intensity of spice and some depth and variety in its  flavours with the lemon, the ginger and the sambal oelek. All family members really liked this meal and the whole process took me maybe 30 minutes.

So I hope you liked this recipe and hope that you will try this. Let me know whether you like Asian food!

Wish you a wonderful day! Love,

Tone It Up Protein Pancake

Tone It Up is a famous youtube fitness channel that consists of Karena and Katrina who give everyone workouts, health advice and food recipes for free. One of these recipes are the Protein Pancakes which I tried out today. It is a healthy version for the usual pancake.

INGREDIENTS:
  • 1/4 cup egg whites
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (organic brown rice protein or whey)- visit your local nutrition store or wholefoods!
  • 2 tbs vanilla almond milk or skim
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbs ground flaxseed
  • After above ingredients are mixed together add 1/2 banana (mashed)- mash first, then add!!
  • Add a handful of fresh or frozen blueberries
Instead of protein powder I just used ordinary flour and because I didn't have blueberries I used a general berry mix. Finish with pinch of cinnamon and sugar and you're done.

I don't say this now because I really love these girls, but I absolutely loved this pancake. It doesn't contain any extra sugar, but the banana gives this pancake the extra flavour and sweetens the pancake enough. Also, the blueberries add something fresh to this pancake. So I can only recommend trying this pancake!

Do you know Tone It Up and have you ever tried out their recipes?

Wish you a wonderful day!

The Best Breakfast Shake You'll Ever Have

I never was a breakfast shake type, probably because I was to embarrassed of starting the mixer in front of my family. However, now during the summer holidays I detected the shake as my favorite breakfast ever. If you want to know how you can do this absolutely delicious and super fast breakfast shake then keep on reading!

INGREDIENTS FOR 250ML:
  • 1 banana
  • about a hand full of any fruit that can be mixed (strawberries, blueberries, melons etc)

  • about 1/4 cup of oats
  • a bit of milk

INSTRUCTION:
  • Add the banana and any fruit that can be mixed to your mixer. It took today 2 slices of melon, but I really love my shake with 4-5 strawberries.

  • Add the oats on top of it and finally add the milk to it so that the banana is swimming in milk.
  • Mix everything together
  • Fill it in a glass and decorate

And here we go with super delicious shake that only takes about 5 minutes if you are fast. The good thing about this is that you can add any fruit than you want which gives always another flavour and this breakfast contains every nutrient that is important for you. The banana gives you the energy and sugar as well as the oats as a carbohydrate. The milk gives the protein and has a lot of other important nutrients and the fruits and banana gives you vitamins.

I hope you liked this post and let me know whether you prefer a solid or liquid breakfast!

Wish you a wonderful day!

Tasty Cherry-Amaretto-Muffins with Chocolate Chips!

Today I had to bake a cake or anything like that for our last days in university before vacation starts. So I decided to do muffins because they are a nice portion and can be eaten right out of your hands. In order to create something different and not only the ordinary Chocolate Chip muffins I added cherries and amaretto to them.

Recipe for approx. 8 muffins

Ingredients:
  • 3 eggs
  • 150g flour
  • 70g sugar
  • 70g Butter
  • 1 package of vanilla sugar
  • 1/2 package of baking powder
  • 3 EL milk
  • 2-3 EL Amaretto
  • 1 glass of cherries
  • 1 bar of chocolate
Guide
  1. Melt the butter in a microwave or in a pa until it is totally liquid. Let it cool down a bit,
  2. Separate the yolk from the white and mix the white, so that you have whipped egg whites.
  3. Eat the sugar, butter, yolk, flour, vanilla powder, baking powder, milk and amaretto in a bowl and mix it, so that you get a smooth dough.
  4. Gently fold the whipped egg whites in the dough.
  5. Drain the cherries and gently mix them with the dough.
  6. Crush the bar of chocolate e.g. with a rolling pin. The chocolate chips shouldn't be too small and also not too big.
  7. Mix the chocolate chips with the dough.
  8. Put some paper muffin moulds in your muffin mould and put the dough into it.
  9. Bake the muffins at 180° for 30-40 minutes.
And then you are done! I have tested the muffins and they taste absolutely amazing! They are definitely something different and not the muffins that everyone is expecting.

Do you like muffins or do you prefer cakes?

All the best,
