Launch: Bonobos Fall 2014 Men's Suit Collection

Everybody knows "You are what you wear" or "Clothes make the man". Clothes convey the first impression and this first impression is often very important. A good-looking and well-fitted suit is not only a stable in every men's clothed, it also represents elegance, seriousness, responsibility and success. Every man looks attractive in an excellent suit.

However, every man knows how difficult it is to find a good suit. Now, I have got the solution for you: Bonobos, a fashion label specialized in men's clothes, has launched a new Fall 2014 Men's Suit Collection.

The fantastic thing about the new collection is that they made their signature Italian wool Foundation suit even better this fall with brand new fabrics and updated interior details, including a more ergonomic interior pocket so grabbing that business card is as smooth as your first impression.

A finely-tailored wool suit is warm on its own, but you can always add a topcoat into the mix. Their suits come in Standard and Slim fits, and Short, Regular and Tall sizes, so you can find the perfect fit for you.

The Fall 2014 men's suit collection was inspired by the early British rock invasion style, before they were all glam rock stars. Mick Jagger before he went big played a major part in the inspiration, this was all when he was still a lad. Other bands in their early days played a major role as well such as Kinks, early Who, and Screaming Lord Sutch.

With the new Bonobos Suits your frustrating search for the perfect suit has ended.

Visit Bonobos now online or at one of their local stores!

Suit up for Fall!

All the best,

Get Ready With Me: Dinner Party with Friends!

Hey everybody!

Today I went out to an evening dinner party with my friends in order to celebrate our graduation. It was not a fancy event or any posh restaurant, but rather a pretty casual and laid-back dinner, so I payed attention at not to be over-dressed. I more enjoyed doing a little more obvious make-up resp. two months ago I wouldn't call this an intense makeup, but because I haven't had the time to do that for the last months, this is pretty intense for me right now. So let's have a closer look.

Hair
I just had a shower right before I left, so I blow-dried my hair. Then I used a little volume spray on my roots, a shimmer spray in my length and I was ready to go.

Outfit
I tried to take a picture of my outfit, but I totally failed out of various serious. However, I tried to find examples for the clothes that I wore, so the blouse is not that minty but it is a good example in terms of the shape. Basically, I wanted to look casual chic and thus, I choose a basic dark denim skinny jeans and tugged in a dusty blue fluffy blouse.

Make-up

My base consisted of Astor anti shine make up in 201 sand, the Catrice Light Reflecting Concealer under the eyes and the Vichy Dermablend Concealer for concealing my pimples. Also I used the Bourjois bronzer as a blush on my cheeks and a tiny bit where the sun would naturally hit me.

After applying an eyeshadow base, I went on with the second colour from the left from the Catrice Absolute Nude Palette and applied it all over the lid. Then I used the Alverde baked eyeshadow in Glam Mauve and blended it into my crease. I lined my upper lashline with the dark brown colour from the Essence eyebrow set and used the light brown from the palette for my eyebrows. Lastly, I curled my lashes and used the Essence I Love Extreme Mascara.

For the lips, I decided to go with the MAC lipstick in Blankety. In total, I tried to focus on the eyes as the lipstick will come of during the dinner anyway.

So this was my makeup, outfit and hair for this evening dinner. Again, the makeup part was also pretty exciting for me as I haven't done any fancy eyemake-ups during my study time. But I am glad that I haven't forget how to do that :) I hope you forgive me that I wasn't able to show you my outfit in real and I wish you a lovely day!

Nerd Glasses - Plague or still a Trend?

Twenty or even ten years ago it was hard to find a picture from celebrities wearing glasses. I have to admit that they didn't have the best glasses, but most of the celebrities were just to embarrassed showing their glasses. Now we look in the boulevard press and nearly every celebrity wears the big bold nerd-glasses that were band in the cellar for the last decades. They suit to a casual, smart and sophisticated look, recently they also had been suitable for the red carpet and parties.

The trend has already been adapted from normal citizen like me. At the beginning there were just a few people walking around with these dark frames, but now it appears to be a plague, an invasion of nerd glasses! Everyone has to wear a nerd glasses even with normal window glass, it is a symbol of being cool, fashionable and on trend. Nearly everyone is convinced that exactly this type of glasses suit to him and completely forgets the sense of having a huge selection of glasses.

I have to admit I also have such a nerd glasses, however, I bought them before the invasion of nerd ray ban glasses started in Germany. I bought them after an intensive consultation with my optician and made sure that the glasses really suit to my face shape and my general appearance. I am a fan of my glasses and I can understand the people who take the celebrities as their examples in order to find out whether this glasses suit to them. But they have to stay flexible in their decision, because they don't have the face of David Beckham & Co!

Thus, I say that as long as the glasses really suits to someone I totally support the fashion trend. I personally go with the trend, not because it is a trend, but because I like the way it looks on me. It can be definitely worn as a casual, sophisticated, smart and red carpet feature and therefore, it is a fashion essential and a must-have for me.
And seriously, what would Johnny Depp be without his glasses?

What do you think about this eyeglasses trend?
I wish you a wonderful day! All the best,

Fall/Autumn Fashion Haul (Maison Scotch, Esprit, Only, Review,...)

Hello guys!

How are you?
Did you also go into the shop your the current fall/autumn collection? I don't know what it is but I always freak out with the fall fashion. Obviously, I also buy clothes during other seasons, but the fall fashion really brightens up my heart and I walk through all stores with adrenaline and want to buy literally everything. So I wanted to share with you my fall/ winter clothes for this seasons so far. I also bought a lot of running clothes, but I doubt that is so interesting.

I started in Butler's as I had a voucher from them and bought two storage boxes each for 9,99€. I think there look much more attractive than the usual plastic ones.

So let's start with the fashion. I love this burgundy red cable-knit sweater from H&M for 24,95€. It's super soft and cozy, just perfect for the cold weather.

I searched for such a cap for quite a long time and like some people need a new pair of boots every year, I need a new cap every year. So I chose this cap from Review for 12,95€. I love this fake fur bobble!

I've never heard of this brand reps. never searched there, but they have really great clothes! This green leopard sweater is from Maison Scotch and costs 45,95€. It's a bit pricy but has a fantastic design.

And then I bought something that I wanted FOR YEARS. Long black leather pants! And not the leggins style because I think that looks a bit bitchy. So these leather trousers from Only for 39,95€ are perfect! I think this looks so trendy even when it's cold outside.

Then I bought a really short black skirt with gold studs from Vero Moda for 29,95€. I really like this skirt even though you can't eat a lot before wearing it ;) But it had a little hole in the back, so I have to sew it :(

And then I bought a new between-seasons jacket. I already own a biker jacket which is black with gold zippers, but is really light and doesn't keep you warm. This leather cotton jacket from Esprit for 119,99€ is stylish, warm, really on trend and made out of super good quality.

So this was my fall/autumn haul. I love every single piece of my new purchases. The problem is that my university starts in two weeks and till then, I have literally nothing to do. And what do you do when you have too much time? You go shopping esp. when the mall is 10 minutes away from you. So currently one could define me as a shopaholic, but I hope that this will end in a few weeks :)

Have you bought something from the current collection?

Wish you a wonderful day!
