What I Got For Christmas

Hello everbody!

Long time no post! How are you? How was your start into 2013? Well, I spend a few days in Vienna and it was just an amazing and really exciting vacation and unfortunately, my final exams are going to come in March, so I have to start learning right now. Thus, I might have to extend my regular routine of posting new posts to every third day, but we will see. Today I want to show you what I got for Christmas which means that I don't want to brag in any way. I am a blogger and I share my life with you and getting the presents for Christmas is one part of my life. So here we go!

My presents

My mum is absolutely addicted to perfumes, therefore, it was not a surprise that I found a new perfume in this package. This year I got the Lady Gaga "Fame" perfume. I have to say that it smells surprisingly good for a perfume of a celebrity. It has a rather oriental, deeper, sensual scent. 

I also received the Chanel perfume "Mademoiselle" from my father which is a rather softer, more girly but still feminine scent.

This is the big present that I received this year. It is the Yonanas Ice Cream Maker which is just perfect for someone with lactose intolerance, because you just use frozen fruits and you get some nice ice cream!

I also received a calendar for 2013 with the topic England and absolute breathtaking photographs.

The next one was the cookbook "my father's daughter" written by Gwyneth Paltrow. I thought that this was a quite reasonable investment as I am going to move into my own flat this summer and love the healthy kitchen.

I also received a lovely personalised make-up holder with larger and bigger holes where I can organise my brushes, pencils and lipsticks.

Then I also got two amazing films that I wanted to have for years! The first one is the autobiography of Johnny Cash called "Walk The Line" and second one is "Troja". Both films are truly amazing and have to be watched!

Apart form that I got a nice necklace and lots of money from relatives who usually have no clue what they have to buy. Yes, that's it for my Christmas presents. I don't want to comment on the amount or the value of all these presents, again, I just want to share also that little part of my life with you. What did you receive as a Christmas present?

In 2 Minuten zu deiner individuellen Schokolade!

Hey meine Lieben!

Weihnachten steht vor der Tür und nun beginnt wieder die verzweifelte Suche nach dem einem oder anderem Weihnachtsgeschenk. Genau dieses Problem besaß ich in der Familie auch und nach einigem rumstöbern entdeckte ich die Möglichkeit, eine individuelle Schokolade übers Internet bestellen zu können. Ich denke so gut wie jeder, vor allem Frauen, mögen Schokolade und würden sich über solch eine Schokolade mit ihren Lieblingszutaten sehr freuen. Das Problem jedoch ist, dass meine eine Freundin und auch ich laktoseintolerant sind und viele Schokoladen zum selber kreieren enthalten Laktose. Jedoch habe ich bei der Firma Baldimo eine dunkle Schokolade gefunden, die keine Laktose enthält und gleichzeitig fand ich die Auswahl der Extras am besten. Heute kam das Paket an:

Ich habe drei Schokoladen bestellt, wobei alle aus dunkler Schokolade bestehen, demnach also laktosefrei sind. Je nach dem wie viele Zutaten und welche Verpackung man am Ende auswählt, ändert sich der Preis. Insgesamt stehen einem drei Schokoladensorten (weiß, Vollmilch, dunkel), verschiedene Formen, mehr als 150 Zutaten und 6 unterschiedliche Verpackungen zur Verfügung. Der Preis der Schokoladen reichte von 5,75€ bis 6,40€ zzgl. 5,90€ Versandkosten. Ich empfehle daher, gleich mehrere Schokoladen auf einmal zu bestellen. Die kostenlose Standardverpackung ist die orangene.

Meine Kreationen:

orangene Verpackung: Zartbitterschokolade in klassischer Schokoladentafel mit Limettenpulver, Kardamom, Erdbeersnacks, Himbeeren 

braun-weiße Verpackung: Zartbitterschokolade in klassischer Schokoladentafel mit Kandierte Zimtäpfel, Macadamianüsse, Zimt, Blaumohnsamen

Winter Verpackung: Zartbitterschokolade in klassischer Schokoladentafel mit Green Khorog Rosinen, Lebkuchengewürze, Galgant, Kirschen x1,

 

 

Da zwei von den Schokoladen als Weihnachtsgeschenk gedacht sind, zeige ich nun nur die oben zuerst genannte Schokolade, da ich sie für mich gekauft habe. Wie es bestellt habe, kam die Schokolade im klassischen Design und ist ca. 6mm hoch. Die Verzierung ist wirklich sehr dekorativ und appetitanregend, doch nun zum Wichtigsten: 

 

 

Der Geschmack:

Die Schokolade an sich schmeckt nicht zu bitter oder herb, sondern sehr weich nach dunkler Schokolade. Sie ist jetzt nicht vergleichbar mit der aromatischen Vielfalt und Tiefe einer Schokolade vom Chocolatier, doch liegt hier der Fokus eher auf den Extras. Insgesamt finde ich meine eigene Kreation sehr gut. Die Limette hätte noch ein wenig saurer sein können, doch gibt der Kardamom eine sehr spezielle würzige Note. Die Erdbeersnacks hätten auch vom optischen her ein wenig größer sein können, jedoch weiß ich jetzt, dass ich das nächste Mal die richtigen Erdbeeren nehme. Ich hatte nur Angst, dass die Schokolade zu überladen aussehe.

Insgesamt kann ich die Schokolade von Baldimo nur empfehlen! Die Bestellung hat wie vom Hersteller angegeben problemlos innerhalb von 7 Werktagen funktioniert und keine Schokolade ist zu Bruch gegangen. Des Weiteren liegt hier der Hauptaugenmerk auf die Zusatzzutaten und nicht auf eine besonders hochwertige Schokolade, obwohl diese auch echt gut ist. Ich denke, dass eine, für eine bestimmte Person, individuell gestaltete Schokolade ein ganz besonderes Geschenk ist und sich sicherlich jeder darüber freuen würde.

On 13th May is Mother's Day.
 I think, Mother's Day is a really important day because we should show out love to our mum. Nevertheless, I sometimes forget that day completely and suddenly, it is saturday and I don't have a gift! But don't worry here are my best and cheapest last minute gift ideas!

1) Selfmade voucher

Create a nice voucher for your mum. This can be a voucher for "one visit to the cinema" or "1 hour of ironing" or "one three-course menu". Tie the voucher with a lovely ribbon, so that the voucher looks a bit more decorative.

2) Take a photo

My mum loves pictures from me and I am sure that your mum loves pictures from you too. Therefore, I know that she would be glad about receiving any photo from me even when I made it in a photo booth. Also, when you have got siblings then take a photo with them. Your mum will be happy!

3) Gift Basket

Go quickly in a good sorted grocery store and create a food basket full with exquisite, luxurious and tasty groceries. You can also combine the food basket with a voucher for preparing a meal together. And I guarantee you that this basket looks as you have prepared this basket for ages.

4) Spa Treatment Basket

On Saturday you can go quickly in the city to your drugstore and create a beautiful set of masks, special treatments, oils, bath accessorize, a candle etc. If you want to have an eye-catcher, then you can buy one more expensive treatment in the high end.

5) Sweet Treats

I'm sure your mum has one sweet desire whether it is ice cream, chocolate or pudding.

However, what I think looks absolutely tasty are fruits in chocolate. Actually, strawberries are in season so you can dip them into chocolate and let them cool down. 

6) Be the chef for one day

My mum loves it when she doesn't has to stand in the kitchen. Therefore, you can start with a nice breakfast in the morning and end with a beautiful dinner. Seriously, it doesn't has to be a three-course menu, I'm sure your mum will be glad about everything.
