5 Drugstore Products That You Need to Have

Hey everyone!

How are you?
I hope you are doing well. I am come right from a fantastic jog which I can totally recommend in order to boost your mood. Today I want to tell you my five favourite drugstore products, that you need to have. I tried to pick international makeup brands so that you can purchase these amazing products almost everywhere.

Product № 1

My first recommendation is the Soft Sensation Lipcolor Butter Ultra Vibrant Color by Astor (Link). This is a dupe to the hyped Chubby Sticks by Clinique. They cost instead of 20€ only 6,50€. All colour are very rich and long lasting while still giving the lips moisture and not drying them out.

Product № 2

Next comes the NYX Powder Blush in "Mocha" (Link). I added it to the drugstore section because I don't think that it is an high-end brand even though you can't buy it in the drugstore here in Germany. The shade "Mocha" is a soft mid-rose colour which works especially good on pale to medium-pale skin. It is not that highly pigmented, but this makes the application much easier and makes the look really natural.

Product № 3

My absolute favourite product ever is the Essence I love Extreme Volume Mascara (Link)! I think this is one of the cheapest mascaras that you can get in drugstores. It only costs 2,75€ and is the best mascara I have ever used. It gives amazing voluminous, thigh and long lashes - a total all rounder!

Product № 4

I love the Catrice Camouflage Cream (Link). In Germany, there hardly existed any camouflage that wasn't totally overpriced. Catrice's Camouflage is a great cheap version to the Mac Concealer. It has more coverage than a regular concealer without creasing or making these dry patches around a pimples. Seriously, since I am using this on top of my foundation, everyone thinks that I have super clear skin.

Product № 5

The last product is the Essence Eyebrow Stylist Set (Link). I am sorry for the bad condition, but as you can see, this product is well used. It includes a small brush with whom you can define blond to brown eyebrows. I am not sure whether you can purchase this in every country, however, if you are able to get in anywhere, please give it a try.

These were my 5 drugstore products that you need to have. These are really products that I use on a daily basis, so you can definitely be sure that these products are the best out of my collection. I hope they work as good as they work for me.
Do you know one of these products?

I wish you a wonderful day!

Love,

Catrice Absolute Nude Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches

Hello everybody!

Today I want to give you a little review of my latest purchase, the Catrice Absolute Nude Palette, which was just released in February this year. They call this shade 010 All Nude IN THE MOOD FOR NUDE even though there only exists one shade. I was super excited to try out this product, thus, I want to share with you my impression and also some swatches. So if you want to know what I think about the product, then keep on reading!

Price: 4,95€

Catrice promises:

Six nude shades in one palette: subtle sand, delicate beige and brown in various facets. Some matt, some with a shimmer. The soft eye shadow texture with high pigmentation and colour dispersion creates natural-looking eye make-up, yet is also ideal for smokey eye styles in the evening. With a practical double-ended applicator.

Swatches
  • great for everyday, natural eye make-up look
  • travel-size, handy
  • high-pigmented colours
  • price
  • similar to Urban Decay Basics Palette

  • a bit powdery
  • no really dark colour -> dramatic or very variable make-up isn't possible
  • not comparable to Urban Decay Naked Palette

Conclusion

In total, I like this palette very much as I usually use neutral colours and hardly pick out colourful ones. I think, this is a great palette if you don't want to buy a ton of different eyeshadows especially when you are starting with make-up. Also, this little palette might be really handy while traveling, however, the last eyeshadow could be a bit darker so that one could great a nice smokey eye too.

So this is my review of the Catrice palette. I hope you found this helpful and tell me whether you have already tested this product or whether it is available in your drugstore? Also, let me know whether you like this little positive and negative arguments as an overview or whether you preferred the written form subdivided into various topics.

Wish you a wonderful day! Love,

Der beste Highlighter in der Drogerie

Hallo Leute,

Farbe: 030 Vanilla Sky Ride
Herstellerversprechen:

Alles Liebe,

Another DM Drugstore Haul? Yes, please!

Hello everyone!

This is a cautionary tale: Don't go in a drugstore after having a frustrating fight with a salesman only because you wanted to spend some money on some lovely new trainers. Especially when you know that absolutely everything makes you happy in the drugstore and you have the insatiable longing to buy everything. Well, that happened yesterday and before I am going to declare myself as being crazy, I thought I take the chance and show you what I have purchased. So without any further ado, let's get started.

I primarily had to buy a new shampoo for my mum and I used this in order to buy million other things for me. So the shampoo that my mum and I use is the Pantene Pro-V shampoo for volume and coloured hair for 2,65€. This is the best drugstore shampoo that I have tested so far. So far! Because I also purchased the Guhl Blonde shampoo for natural or coloured blonde hair for 3,35€ due to the fact that another costumer bought it. We'll see how good this is.

The Sagrotan Healthy Touch hand sanitizer is probably the least exciting purchase, but this is great when you are traveling or eating outdoor and want to refresh your hands when there isn't a bathroom nearby. However, the price of 1,95€ is discussable.

This is my favourite purchase of all - the Catrice Absolute Nude Eyeshadow Palette for only 4,95€. My frustrating mind literally grabbed the product as this reminds me so much of the Urban Decay Basics Palette only without the black. I will write a separate post about this palette, but I think it is great for everyday makeup looks.

Then my face powder hit the pan. I always went with a Maybelline powder, however, while standing on the Catrice counter, I thought why not trying out another, much cheaper powder? And as I haven't had any bad experiences with Catrice, the Catrice Skin Finish Compact Powder for 3,95€ ended up in my basket.

directly applied and 2 minutes after
Finding a light, neutral, medium-coverage and not too dewy foundation is a really tough task whereas meanwhile I doubt whether this perfect foundation exists in drugstore or whether I have to spend some money on a high-end foundation. So I gave the Astor anti shine makeup in shade 201 sand for 5,35€ a go and you can see that it oxidizes and gets darker because of the mattifying effect. Thus, let's keep fingers crossed that it suits my skin tone.

The last purchase was the Garnier face mask against pimples with a special thermo-formulation which costs only 0,95€ and includes two uses. I actually realise right now, that I had an allergic reaction to their facial wash...

So this was my frustrating drugstore haul which ended up being not that bad and completely nonsense. I still hope that I will find a good store with a friendly salesman that is willing to sell me some proper trainers with a reliable advice. Thank you for reading this and let me know whether you want to here a specific review to one of these products!

Wish you a wonderful day! Love,

Catrice Prime And Fine - Review & Swatches

Today I want to review the Catrice Prime And Fine Smoothing Refiner which I bought about two months ago, so I am ready to share my thoughts with you. The primer costs 4,99€ contains 14g and lasts 12 months.

Packaging
This is a really elegant, simple and classic design. The base is in a beautiful transparent plastic jar which looks like glass and a black plastic lid with silver font. The jar closes really good, thus, the products doesn't dry out.

Description of the producer
"CATRICE presents Prime and Fine – the new range of professional products for an excellent foundation. Ideal preparation: the Smoothing Refiner. The oil-free silicone-based primer practically makes pores disappear and fills out wrinkles for a smooth, refined complexion. Now you’re ready for your grand entry! Comes in a high-quality jar."

Consistency
The primer is more sticky and solid. However, with the body temperature the product melds and can be blend into the skin perfectly.
Colour
white, slightly rosy

Smell
The product smells nearly like nothing, however, I can smell a whiff of chemicals which are probably the silicons in the products.

Forehead without the primer

Nose without the primer

Nose with the primer
Application
I use this product after my moisturizer but before I apply my foundation. I take about two fingertips of the products for my whole face, but I concentrate it on the areas where I intend to have larger pores and intend to produce more oil during the day.

Positiv
The product does mattify skin and prevents from producing too much oil for about 10 hours. During the day your skin will still produce oil, but moderately and not in the same intensity as I was used to. Also, this product refined my pores and lines as you can see in the picture above. Consequently, my foundation looks a lot more flawless at the end.

Negativ
I have got the feeling that the skin doesn't absorb the products completely. It seems to sit more on the skin. Thus, when you rub over the skin too often, it starts to crumble so that you have little crumbles all over the face.

Conclusion
I think the product prevents your skin from producing too much oil and refines the lines by sitting on the skin. Even though I don't like the crumbles on the face, I think that they are avoidable by quickly applying the product on the face. Also, I don't mind this feeling on the skin when the primer is more sitting on top of the skin. Additionally, the result of the product is absolutely amazing and I think that this is for a drugstore products and for the price really good.

DM Make-up Haul, Swatches & Little Reviews

Hey guys!

How are you?
It has actually been a really long time since I have been taking photos, editing them, writing and posting a blogpost right away. I have been learning for my final exams during the last weeks and today I forced myself to take a break and do something that I really enjoy which is blogging. So I thought you might be interested in knowing which products I purchased yesterday in my local drug store. These are actually the products that I am going to use for my everyday make-up routine.

I have never had an everyday make-up routine, but recently, because of the stress, I crapped for almost the same products every day, so that finally, I am ready to show you my everyday make-up routine in my future posts ;)

The Haul

I bought the new Catrice Longlasting Eye Pencil in 050 Brown Town Girl from the new product range which claims to be waterproof. The pencil includes a sharper at the end.
Catrice Eye Pencil - Swatch
Because of the small pencil, one can draw a really thin, precise and subtile line along the lash line. It is a really dark brown colour that stayed on really well even after my professional rubbing test.

Another Catrice product is the cream lip and cheek colour from the current Neo Geisha LE available from January to March 2013. The shade is the lightest one in 01 Discreet Artist.
Swatch in different lights
It is a soft, pale pink colour that would look great on pale skin. The colour pay-off is not comparable with the Maybelline cream blushes, however, this would be perfect for make-up beginners who are still afraid of blush and struggle with handling the colour pay-off.The colour looks like a pale pink on the lips, but I think you can do that with every cream blush.
L'oréal lipstick (colour on photo is not true to original)
I think the L'oréal Lipstick Rouge Caresse in 120 Mauve Cherie is also new in their product range and because L'oréal is so expensive here, this purchase was definitely made by this luxury packaging.

I would have never purchased the P2 Heavenly lip mousse if a youtube hadn't recommended it to me because the packaging wasn't that attractive to me. I chose the shade 050 sweet time pleasure.
Swatches - L'oréal lipstick (left) and P2 Heavenly Lip mousse (right)
The L'oréal lipstick is really smooth and even though it has a sheer texture, it lasts on the lips for several hours. It is a beautiful mauve pink colour which is great for every day, however, surprisingly, the lipststick dried out my lips a tiny bit during the really old winter days.

The P2 lip mousse has, as the name says, a mousse texture, but that doesn't make it uncomfortable on the lips. The colour is a bit lighter than the L'oréal lipstick, but still a beautiful dusty pink colour which looks really flattering and great with nearly every eye make-up. The lasting is really great! I applied it in the morning and the colour was still visible around lunch time even after drinking.

So this was my latest haul. I hope you liked this really up-to-date post with the little reviews and all the swatches as much as I enjoyed writing it for you! Let me know what you bought the last couple of weeks and what do you think about the new products in the make-up brands?

Wish you a wonderful sunday! Love,

Chanel Dupe! Catrice Nailpolish 840 Genius In The Bottle

This nail polish is one of my current favourite ones for the autumn time. It is the Catrice Ultimate Colour in 840 Genius In The Bottle and the special thing about this nail polish is that it shows different colour shades depending on the light and the perspective you are looking at your nails. It reflects in golden, green and brown shades - definitely unique.
And what does this colour remind you of? Yes, the Chanel Le Vernis Nail Colour 531 Peridot from their Fall Collection back in 2011 looks exactly the same and I was reported that the application of the Chanel is even worse than the Catrice one. The only difference is that the Catrice costs 2,49€ and the Chanel one costs 23€. So, even though this nail polish was from the fall collection in 2011, I think this nail colour is still really suitable for fall and looks absolutely stunning, so this is the perfect dupe for this!

I hope this post was helpful & tell me whether you buy dupes or the original beauty products?

Wish you a wonderful day!
Lots of love,
