Deep In The Forest - A Fall/Autumn Makeup Tutorial!

Hey guys! Fall is starting and when the weather gets cooler I always start to wear more make-up especially on the eyes. So I came up with a lightly more intense green smokey eye makeup. It is actually a lot more intense and greener than on the picture below. So let's get started!

The tutorial:

Eyes:

 

1. Apply a light beige shimmery eyeshadow all over the lid and in your inner corner.

 

2. Apply a medium green eyeshadow with a golden undertone to the outer half of your eyelid

3. Apply a golden eyeshadow to the middle of your eyelid

 

4. Use a really dark green eyeshadow and pat it onto your crease. Start blending it, but stay in the really outer part of your eye and elongate it towards your eyebrow.

   

5. Apply a white matte eyeshadow under your brow bone

6. Apply the darkest green colour to the outer part on your bottom lash line & the golden colour in the middle of your bottom lash line

 

7. Draw a black winged liner with a liquid eyeliner

 

8. Curl your lashes, apply mascara and your done with the eyes.

Face:

I would apply a sheer blush that just sculpts the face and doesn't take away the attention from the eyes, e.g. Sleek Suede Blush.

Lips:

I went for a nude, but not dead nude lip. I used P2 Pure Colour Lipstick in 02 Sunset Boulevard and Esprit Lipgloss in Beige on top.

And that's it. Of course, this look isn't that natural, but I seriously received a lot of compliments because of this look. So please try it out & tell me do you like to wear heavier makeup when it is getting colder outside?

20€ Make-up Challenge

Momentan ist bei den amerikanischen Youtubern die 20$ Make-up Challenge beliebt. So langsam fangen nun auch die deutschen Youtubern damit an, jedoch wollte ich diese 20€ Make-up Challenge hiermit populärer machen und sie auch in die deutsche Bloggerwelt bringen. Die Challenge ist schwieriger als ich erst dachte und ich muss sagen, dass es mir recht schwer gefallen ist, auf unter 20€ zu kommen. In den 20€ muss nicht nur die Kosmetik an sich, sondern auch alle Utensilien (Pinsel usw.) dabei sein.

• Zuerst habe ich die Essence Foundation Stay All Day auf dem ganzen Gesicht mit den Händen aufgetragen
• Danach habe ich auch mit den Händen mit der Catrice Concealer Palette meine Augenringe und Unreinheiten abgedeckt.
• Das ganze habe ich dann mit dem Rival de Loop Mineralpowder mit einem Schwämmchen aufgetragen, der schon beim Produkt dabei war.
• Als Eyeshadowbase habe ich einfach den Catrice Concealer auf das ganze Lid aufgetragen.

• Dann hab ich die rosane Farbe des Lidschatten Duos von Rival de Loop mit dem beigelegten Applikation auf das ganze bewegliche Lid und in den Augeninnenwinkel aufgetragen.
• Der dunklere Ton kam dann in die Lidfalte wieder mit dem Applikation, wobei ich mit dem Finger noch versucht habe, alles so gut es geht zu verblenden.
• Mit dem P2 Intense Khol Eyeliner habe ich eine Lidstrich am oberen Wimpernkranz gezogen und mit dem Schwammapplikator, welcher auf der anderen Seite des Liners ist, verwischt.
• Dann hab ich noch die Wimpern mit der Essende I Love Extreme Mascara getuscht. 

• Als Lippenstift habe ich den P2 Park Street verwendet.

• Diesen habe ich dann auch als Cremerouge leicht auf die Wangen aufgetragen.

So sieht also mein vollendeter 20€ Make-up Look aus. Obwohl ich zwischendurch beim Augenmake-up und ohne Pinsel am verzweifeln war, denke ich, dass sich das Ergebnis sehen lassen kann. Auf jeden Fall hat es sehr viel Spaß gemacht an dieser Challenge teilzunehmen und ich hoffe, dass auch ihr an der Challenge teilnehmt!

What's In My Hand Luggage?

Today I want to share with you my hand luggage, at least what I take with my on a long overnight flight beauty wise. Because of the fact that I am actually not going on an overnight flight this year, I don't have every product that I mentioned in a travel size. However, you can replace these products with your preferred one in a travel size, so that the mentioned products work as guidelines.

Hand cream

Because the air is so dry in a plane and my daily sleeping routine consists of a bit of hand cream, I would always take my hand cream with me. I really can not stand out dry hands!

Antibacterial handgel

Even though you can use the soap in the toilet, you never know who has touched the doorhandles and seats before you. Especially when you are working on your face or you eat something, make sure that you sanitize your hands beforehand. I can really commend the Bath & Body Works PocketBac Deep Cleansing Hand Gel

Makeup remover

It is really important that you remove your make up before you are going to sleep even though you are seating in a plane. Therefore, I would take with me the travel-sized Bioderma Crealine Micelle Solution Makeup Remover for Face & Eyes 100ml and 2-4 cotton pads.

Cleanser + wet wipes

The next step, which shouldn't be skipped is to cleanse your skin. You don't want to have new pimples before arriving in your new destination. I don' have a travel-size cleanser even though I can really recommend The La Roche Posay Cleansing Mousse from the Effaclar line. Just use any travel-sized cleanser which you prefer. Take a few wet wipes with you in order to remove the cleanser without heading to the plane toilet.

Moisturizer

Because of the dry skin in the plane, it is also important to moisturizer your face really well in order to prevent it from dehydrating. However, firstly I wouldn't apply that much product on your face. When it is absorbed into your skin and your skin still feels dehydrated then you can always apply more.

Toothpaste + Toothbrush

Don't forget your teeth and brush them right before you go to sleep and in the morning. This also vanishes any bad breath.

Mascara

When it comes to make up, I don't want to take too much with me, because this is just to make me look a bit more a wale. You can still apply more makeup when you arrive in your hotel. So I take a mascara with me, because this really makes your eyes look more awake and lively.

Concealer

I apply a concealer on my pimples, redness and under eye circles in order to make my skin more flawless without appearing to be caky.Especially after a long flight, a concealer does wonders!

Lip Tone

Lastly I would take with me a colored lip balm, or also called lip tone. This can be applied without a mirror and has a natural effect, but gives a but of colour in the same time.

So this was my hand luggage. Of course, don'z forget to pack all these things in a clear zipper bag and keep all liquids that you take with you under 100ml.

May/June Favourites

Two new months are over, so it's time for my bi-monthly favourites. I currently use so a lot of different products that I think about doing a favorites post every month, so let's have a look whether this will happen. 

Essence Sun Club Bronzer for Blondes

I bought this products years ago, but I never knew how to use it because it has a really red undertone so that it isn't usable as a bronzer. However, applied as a normal blush concentrated on the apples of the cheeks, this products gives you a natural tanned and "heated" look.

Essence Eyeshadow - 22 blockbuster and Artdeco Eyeshadow 520

I used the Essence eyeshadow to create a neutral and flawless base and the Artdeco eyeshadow to put this in the crease as a natural shadow. Especially the Artdeco is the best eyeshadow for a natural shadow in the crease and it can also be used to fill in your eyebrows.

Maybelline Everfresh Concealer

I used this concealer for my under eye circles for years now. However, recently I used this concealer for pimples, any redness and my under eye circles, so that this little concealer replaced my whole foundation. I think this is a great alternative for the summer.

Manhattan Gel Eyeliner Black and Manhattan Eyeliner Brush

Even though I had a love-hate-relationshio with gel eyeliner, especially with cleaning the eyeliner brush afterwards, I really love these two items a lot. After a bit of practice the eyeliner brush is absolutely great to draw a precise line and the eyeliner lasts the whole day.

Rival de Loop Eyeshadow Pencil - 11 Frosty White

Originaly this pencil was bought in order to function as a base for any eye make-up look. However, the colour payoff is not extremely intense, so I found out that it refreshes every eye make-up when you apply it along your waterline.

Blistex Lip Tone

I did a review of this products (click here), but to sum up, it is the perfect everyday lipcolour which moisturizes the lips and gives a natural red lip colour.

Essence Stay with me lipgloss - 02 my favourite milk shake

This lipgloss is a long lasting lipgloss and indeed, it lasts at least 6 hours. It is a natural, beautiful, nude rosy colour that doesn't crease and your lips even appear bigger.

Alverde Bodybutter Macadamianut and Karitébutter

This is an absolute amazing body butter, because it really moisturizes even very dry skin. In fact, this is the first body butter that has a strong smoothing effect on my skin.

88 Neutral Eyeshadow Palette - light green and medium brown, green eyeshadow

I mixed a light green eyeshadow with a little bit of gold glitter and a medium green eyeshadow with a tiny brown tone in order to create an eyeshadow that is similar to  the MAC eyeshadow Patina. I loved to use this natural, but unordinary eyeshadow as an everyday look all over the lid.

Best of German - Beauty Brands

Inspiried by the upcoming Olympic Games in London and by Pixiwoo's post "Best of British", I decided to do my "Best of German" version. The problem is that Germany is not known for its fantastic cosmetic companies, we rather are popular for our cars (Audi, BMW, VW, Mercedes,...).

However, this is a beauty blog and therefore, I tried my best to find the best beauty companies who are internationally involved because we also have thousands of brilliant beauty companies who are quiet common here, but no one ever heard of them abroad.

I am also planning a "Best of German" in a fashion edition.

Nivea

Nivea is probably one of the most popular and oldest brands in Germany. They have a huge variety of skin products which costs from 3-10€. About two year ago they also launched a make-up line in Germany which was sadly discontinued a year ago even though the make-up was really good. The skin care, especially the classic cream in the blue packaging, was even used by my grandmother. Even though there are critics because they use paraffins, my grandmother hasn't noticed any negative aspects for 50 years! This particular creme is a absolute all rounder and can be used from every skin type.

Essence

Essence is one of the cheapest brands in drugstore and has launched his line in America and Canada too. I am not a massive fan of their nail polishes, but 1€ for a huge variety of colour is a good deal. Essence has got the philosophy not to pigment the eyeshadows too much, so that the teenagers are not wearing too much make up. I think, this is a really nice idea when I look at the 11-year-old girls in school. I really like their eyeshadow palettes, eyeliner pencil and the mascaras are absolutely amazing!

Hugo Boss Perfumes

I am totally in love with the Hugo Boss Perfumes for men and women. We all know Hugo Buss for its luxurious suits for men, but the perfumes smell as luxurious as the suits look like. I love in particular the Hugo Boss Orange. It is the perfect summer, autumn, winter and probably also spring scent that makes you feel female and glamourous.

Lavera

Lavera is the most common natural skincare line abroad, but I would say that we have a huge amount of natural skin care companies. Even every drugstore has its own natural line. I really love the lavera cleansers and moisturizers and their bath gels are amazing too. I think, it is always good to use a few natural cosmetic products, because you can make sure that there are no paraffins, formaldehydes...

Wella

Wella is one of the world's leading cosmetic supplied. There currently have launched a hair care line in the drugstores and supermarkets, so that we common people also can buy the shampoos. I am nit really sure whether I like the shampoos in the drugstore, but the ones that are just from your hairdresser are really good. They really make your hair shiner, smother and healthier, however, with 13€ they also have their price.

Catrice Lipstick Shy Flamingo - Review & Swatches

Der Catrice Ultimate Shine Lippenstift in der Farbe 110 Shy Flamingo ist mit 3,99€ einer der preisgünstigeren Lippenstifte. In der Ultimate Shine Reihe von Catrice sind insgesamt 16 verschiedene Farben aufzufinden.

 

Verpackung

Der Lippenstift ist in einer schlichten, jedoch dadurch sehr elegant wirkenden Verpackung gehalten. Die Verpackung ist Silber verspiegelt, der Deckel schließt sehr gut und das Markenzeichen ist sehr dezent am Deckelrand eingraviert.

Herstellerversprechen

"Natürlich und verführerisch zugleich: Die geschmeidig cremige Textur mit mittlerer Deckkraft verschmilzt förmlich mit den Lippen, spendet intensive Feuchtigkeit, pflegt und verführt mit ultimativem Glanz."

Konsistenz

Der Lippenstift hat eine feste Konsistenz, wobei die Glitzerpartikel auf den Lippen spürbar sind.

Farbe

Shy Flamingo ist ein sehr schönes, intensives Korallrot mit leichtem silbernen Glitzer. 

Haltbarkeit

Da der Lippenstift fester ist und keine cremige Konsistenz hat, verzieht er sich nicht und die Lippenfältchen oder Mundinnenwinkel. Essen und Trinken hält der Lippenstift jedoch nicht stand. Er hält jedoch alleine bis zu 5 Stunden.

Positiv

Der Lippenstift hat eine sehr intensive Farbe, die sich dennoch durch Auftupfen auf den Lippen verringern lässt. Das Korallerot ist genau zwischen zu rot und zu orange, des weiteren ist der Preis unschlagbar. Außerdem bleibt der Lippenstift dort, wo man ihn aufgetragen kann und das Design ist sehr ansprechend.

Negativ

Obwohl die Serie "Ultimate Shine" heißt, hätte ich mir den Glitzer weniger grobkörnig gewünscht. Zum einen ist der Glitzer auf den Lippen im Alltag ein wenig zu auffällig und zum anderen erinnert das Lippengefühl eher an sehr kleine Sandkörner auf den Lippen, daher fühlen sich die Lippen trockener an, obwohl sie dies nicht sind.

Fazit

Shy Flamingo ist DER Sommerlippenstift! Er hat eine wunderschöne Farbe, die perfekt zu einem gebräuntem Teint und milden Sommernächten passt. Auch der Glitzer erscheint bei der intensiven Sonne im Sommer weniger auffällig, sondern verleiht dem Gesicht noch den extra Touch. Jedoch muss man bevor man den Lippenstift aufträgt unbedingt eine Lippenpflege benutzen. So vermeidet man das grobkörnige Gefühl des Glitzers auf den Lippen und das "Schein Trockenheitsgefühl" der Lippen.

Gigantischer Rossmann, DM & Douglas Haul

Obwohl ich wahrscheinlich viel zu viel Make up für eine Person habe, konnte ich es mir dennoch nicht verkneifen wieder in Rossman Dm und diesmal sogar noch Douglas zu gehen.

Daher ist hier meine rießige Ausbeute.

Maybelline SuperStay 24h Foundation and Concealer

Ich hab sehr gute Kritiken zu diesem Produkt gelesen und entschloss mich daher dieses Produkt zu kaufen. Ich suche nach einer Foundation die langanhaltend und mittlere bis starke Deckkraft hat. Der Concealer sollte perfekt zur Foundation passen und meine Unreinheiten sehr gut überdecken. Mal schauen, ob die beiden ihren Dienst leisten.

Blistex Classic Lip Protector

Mein letzter Blistex ist zu gut wie leer und nun stand ich vorm Regal und haderte zwischen einem klassischen Labello oder doch der amerikanischen Variante, dem Blitex. Wie ihr seht, habe ich mich für den Blistex entschieden. Ich denke, beide sind von der Pflegewirkung fast identisch.

Essence stay all day long lasting eyeshadow 02 Glammy goes to...

Dieses Produkt ist perfekt für den Sommer, falls dieser mal kommt. Dieser Creamlidschatten soll anscheinend nicht in die Lidfalte kriechen und hat einen wunderschönen metallischen, goldenen Schimmer.

Sunozon Sonnenfluid LSF 30

Von der Hausmarke von Rossmann habe ich mir das Sonnenfluid für Gesicht und Dekolleté mit LSF 30 gekauft, was einen mattierenden Effekt verspricht. Ich hoffe, dass diese Sonnencreme nicht zu ölig auf der Haut erscheint.

Garnier Hautklar 24h Feuchtigkeitspflege

Ich habe mir nach Überredung einer Freundin eine neue Hautpflegeserie gekauft. Ich werde noch bei meiner alten Pflege blieben, werde diese aber nicht weiterführen, was das VICHY Reinigungsschaum einfach zu austrocknend ist.

Marc Jacobs Daisy

Ich hab lange nach einem Sommerduft gesucht und habe ihn schließlich gefunden. Es ist zwar nicht das günstigste Parfum mit 45€/20ml, dennoch ist der Duft sehr frisch, blumig und leicht.

Rival de Loop Liquid Make-up

Für eine Freundin habe ich das Make-up mitgenommen, obwohl ich in letzter Zeit ein wenig Foundation süchtig geworden bin, habe ich mir nicht auch noch die hier gekauft.

Rival de Loop Mineral Powder

Obwohl das Puder sehr dunkel aussieht, ist es auf der Haut sehr hell und lässt sich sehr gut verteilen. Zu Not kann man allein die dunkle Seite nur zum Konturieren benutzen.

Rival de Loop Long Lasting Nail Colour - 74l & 95J

Ich bin mir jetzt nicht sicher, ob dass wirklich der richtige Namen ist, aber ich finde die beiden Farben wirklich sehr schön. Deckend nach zwei schichten, jedoch ein wenig streifig.

Rival de Loop eyeshadow - 11 cherry plum & 10 mocha beige

Wenn man bedenkt, dass ich den Ständer von Rival de Loop bisher so gut wie nie beachtet habe, ist diese Ausbeute erstaunlich. Die Lidschatten sind wirklich sehr gut pigmentiert, zumindest nach dem ersten swatchen. Mal schauen wie sie sich auf der Haut verarbeiten lassen.
