Max Factor Soft Resistant Make Up Review & Swatch

Hallo meine Lieben!

  • Spezielle Formel garantiert 8 Stunden Halt
  • Das Touch-Proof-System verhindert das Abfärben auf die Kleidung
  • Parfümfrei und für empfindliche Haut geeignet

  • Swatches - 1 Light

    ◇  LSF 15
    ◇  langanhaltend
    ◇  starke Deckkraft
◇  ebenes Handbild, kein Absetzen in kleine Fältchen

◇  1 light ist zu rosastichig
◇  im Laufe des Tages etwas fleckig
    ◇  starkes Nachdunkeln

    Vorher / Nachher Bilder

    Meine Meinung

An der Foundation an sich mit ihrer Formulierung gibt es wirklich nichts zu bemängeln. Mit einer starken Deckkraft, der ölfreien und langanhaltenden Textur und dem schönem Hautbild selbst bei öliger Haut, entspricht das Make up genau meinen Bedürfnissen.

    Alles Liebe,

Get Ready With Me: Dinner Party with Friends!

    Hey everybody!

Today I went out to an evening dinner party with my friends in order to celebrate our graduation. It was not a fancy event or any posh restaurant, but rather a pretty casual and laid-back dinner, so I payed attention at not to be over-dressed. I more enjoyed doing a little more obvious make-up resp. two months ago I wouldn't call this an intense makeup, but because I haven't had the time to do that for the last months, this is pretty intense for me right now. So let's have a closer look.

    Hair
I just had a shower right before I left, so I blow-dried my hair. Then I used a little volume spray on my roots, a shimmer spray in my length and I was ready to go.

    Outfit
I tried to take a picture of my outfit, but I totally failed out of various serious. However, I tried to find examples for the clothes that I wore, so the blouse is not that minty but it is a good example in terms of the shape. Basically, I wanted to look casual chic and thus, I choose a basic dark denim skinny jeans and tugged in a dusty blue fluffy blouse.

    Make-up

My base consisted of Astor anti shine make up in 201 sand, the Catrice Light Reflecting Concealer under the eyes and the Vichy Dermablend Concealer for concealing my pimples. Also I used the Bourjois bronzer as a blush on my cheeks and a tiny bit where the sun would naturally hit me.

After applying an eyeshadow base, I went on with the second colour from the left from the Catrice Absolute Nude Palette and applied it all over the lid. Then I used the Alverde baked eyeshadow in Glam Mauve and blended it into my crease. I lined my upper lashline with the dark brown colour from the Essence eyebrow set and used the light brown from the palette for my eyebrows. Lastly, I curled my lashes and used the Essence I Love Extreme Mascara.

For the lips, I decided to go with the MAC lipstick in Blankety. In total, I tried to focus on the eyes as the lipstick will come of during the dinner anyway.

So this was my makeup, outfit and hair for this evening dinner. Again, the makeup part was also pretty exciting for me as I haven't done any fancy eyemake-ups during my study time. But I am glad that I haven't forget how to do that :) I hope you forgive me that I wasn't able to show you my outfit in real and I wish you a lovely day!

    Love,

Soft Smokey Brown & Pink Evening Make up Tutorial

    Hello guys!

I hope you are all feeling well!
Inspired by my latest night outs and the upcoming long summer nights, I though I throw in a little Soft Brown & Pink Evening Make up which gives a slightly smokey look without being too strong and still wearable. By the way, I am so excited about the summer time as I have a lot of beautiful summer make up tutorials in my mind. Let me know in the comment section below whether you would like to see more make up tutorials! But let's get started!

    1. Apply a light pink eyeshadow all over the eyelid after priming it.

    2. Then I started to apply always a darker brown eyeshadow in the crease so that I slowly build up the colour. Also by layering the product, your eye make up will last the whole day.

    3. Then I used a dark rusty brown and smudged it along the upper lash line.

    4. Then apply a white eyeshadow in the inner corner of your eye.

    5. Curl your lashes, apply mascara and that's it.

    Overview - all eyeshadows

So that was my wearable smokey, soft brown & pink evening makeup. I hope you liked it and as I have already mentioned above, tell me whether you would like to see some summer make up tutorials and whether you prefer a stronger lip or a stronger eye during the night.

I wish you a wonderful day! Love,

The Perfect Make up for the Opera

    Hello guys!

I hope you are doing well!
I know that going to the opera is not a typical visit or something that especially teenagers or young adults do every weekend, however, I wanted to share with you my make up that I wore while I was going the opera last weekend. Because of my parents, I have the opportunity to go to the opera quiet often, which I also do when I have time. In the opera you want to look sophisticated, elegant without being too sexy, so a dramatic smokey eye isn't appropriate for it. Thus, a winged eye liner look is just perfect for this event.

    The Look

    In detail:

✯ matte beige eyeshadow all over the eyelid
✯ matt white eyeshadow in the inner corner and under the brow bone
✯ rusty matte brown eyeshadow softly in the crease and along the bottom lash line
✯ black liner from the centre of the upper lid outwards, keep the wing rather small

    Close-up
I stayed with matt eyeshadows as I find that they look the most sophisticated. Make sure that the winged liner is not that dominant, it should rather serve to make your lashes appear thicker. I also filled in my eyebrows and used mascara.

I kept my lips as usual pretty nude my wearing the Catrice Ultimate Colour Lipstick in 190 The Nuder The Better and applied a clear glittery gloss by Maybelline on top

So that's it for today. I hope you liked this little "Make up of the day" and perhaps you want to go to the opera right now just in order to wear the make up :)
Do you go to the opera several times a year?

    Wish you a wonderful day!
    Love,

5 Stunning & Photo-Friendly Prom Make up Ideas

    Hello everyone!

    How are you?
Welcome to the third part of my Prom Series in which I am exclusively going to talk about make up and which make up look I find the most flattering during prom. If you have missed my previous posts of my Prom Series about finding your perfect neckline (Link) and finding your perfect dress according to your body type (Link), then have a look there.

So, if you look in Youtube and type in         you will find a lot of amazing Prom Make up looks from real make up artists or ordinary people that share tutorials for a makeup specifically for Prom. For example, Lisa Eldridge shows a professional look (Link) as well as the Pixiwoo sisters (Link) also with a red lip (Link). But because you can find these tutorials so easily, I want to show you other tutorials that are not primarily designed for Prom, but still absolutely appropriate for it.

Look #1 - The Classic Look

This is a very classic yet elegant and pretty make up that suits to every dress. It makes you look fresh and sophisticated and can also be combined with a red lip. By the way, this lady reminds me so much of Leighton Meester. :)

Look #2 - Demi Lovato Makeup Tutorial

This look is pretty similar to the one above except of the fact that the liner is much more thicker and heavier, thus, this look is a bit more dramatic and also focuses on a dewy skin. This look suits to any dress again and is perfect for you when you want to dramatize the classic make up a bit.

Look #3 - Amanda Seyfried Oscars Makeup Tutorial

Because of the purple eyeshadows, this make up is different than usual ones, but don't be afraid of using a bit of colour as this look still looks amazing and breathtaking. Even though there are no harsh liner or bold eyelashes involved, this look is absolutely striking. However, I wouldn't choose this look when you are wearing a dress in this colour range.

Look #4 - Millie Mackintosh inspired wearable smokey eye

I would describe this look as being actually a wearable smokey eye for everyday, however, I find this look so flattering, sexy and outstanding that it is definitely appropriate for Prom. I can imagine this look being combined with a dress in warm colours or with golden details or worn by someone with a rather golden skin undertone.

Look #5 - Jennifer Lopez Makeup Tutorial

As this is by far one of the best make up tutorials on youtube, it shouldn't be left out in this Prom make up idea list. This is a beautiful, brown and golden dramatic eye make up that suits to a dress in warm colours or with golden details again. It is a unique version of a regular brown smokey eye and will make you appear elegant, but sexy in the same time.

So these were my make up ideas for Prom. I still haven't decided which of these I am going to pick for my graduation party and in fact, I have to choose two make up looks as I have to attend to two graduation events which, however, are on the same day. But that's another story. So I hope you found this a bit helpful and tell me which make up look do you like to wear on official evening parties?

Wish you a wonderful day! Love,

Another DM Drugstore Haul? Yes, please!

    Hello everyone!

This is a cautionary tale: Don't go in a drugstore after having a frustrating fight with a salesman only because you wanted to spend some money on some lovely new trainers. Especially when you know that absolutely everything makes you happy in the drugstore and you have the insatiable longing to buy everything. Well, that happened yesterday and before I am going to declare myself as being crazy, I thought I take the chance and show you what I have purchased. So without any further ado, let's get started.

I primarily had to buy a new shampoo for my mum and I used this in order to buy million other things for me. So the shampoo that my mum and I use is the Pantene Pro-V shampoo for volume and coloured hair for 2,65€. This is the best drugstore shampoo that I have tested so far. So far! Because I also purchased the Guhl Blonde shampoo for natural or coloured blonde hair for 3,35€ due to the fact that another costumer bought it. We'll see how good this is.

The Sagrotan Healthy Touch hand sanitizer is probably the least exciting purchase, but this is great when you are traveling or eating outdoor and want to refresh your hands when there isn't a bathroom nearby. However, the price of 1,95€ is discussable.

This is my favourite purchase of all - the Catrice Absolute Nude Eyeshadow Palette for only 4,95€. My frustrating mind literally grabbed the product as this reminds me so much of the Urban Decay Basics Palette only without the black. I will write a separate post about this palette, but I think it is great for everyday makeup looks.

Then my face powder hit the pan. I always went with a Maybelline powder, however, while standing on the Catrice counter, I thought why not trying out another, much cheaper powder? And as I haven't had any bad experiences with Catrice, the Catrice Skin Finish Compact Powder for 3,95€ ended up in my basket.

directly applied and 2 minutes after
Finding a light, neutral, medium-coverage and not too dewy foundation is a really tough task whereas meanwhile I doubt whether this perfect foundation exists in drugstore or whether I have to spend some money on a high-end foundation. So I gave the Astor anti shine makeup in shade 201 sand for 5,35€ a go and you can see that it oxidizes and gets darker because of the mattifying effect. Thus, let's keep fingers crossed that it suits my skin tone.

The last purchase was the Garnier face mask against pimples with a special thermo-formulation which costs only 0,95€ and includes two uses. I actually realise right now, that I had an allergic reaction to their facial wash...

So this was my frustrating drugstore haul which ended up being not that bad and completely nonsense. I still hope that I will find a good store with a friendly salesman that is willing to sell me some proper trainers with a reliable advice. Thank you for reading this and let me know whether you want to here a specific review to one of these products!

Wish you a wonderful day! Love,
