Little Known Ways to Find Your Skin Undertone

Determining your skin undertone can help you to make the most flattering choices in make up, jewellery and fashion. Choosing the right colours for you, can make your skin, hair and eyes appear to be more shiny, radiant and glowing. There are different, easy techniques to find out which skin undertone you have.

Skin undertones

The first one is the cool undertone where you have got rather blue, pink or red undertones. Celebrities with a cool undertone are Januars Jones, Scarlett Johansson, Lucy Lu, Anne Hathaway.
The second one is the warm undertone where you have a more yellow or orange undertone. Celebrities with a warm undertone are Nicole Kidman, Jessica Alba, Jennifer Aniston.
The last one is the neural undertone where there's a mix of warm and cool undertoneExamples of celebrities with a neutral undertone: Dita Von Teese, Alyssa Milano, Kelly Clarkson, Victoria Beckham.

The Vein Test

The easiest way to find out your skin undertone ist to look at the colour of your veins. Just look at your veins on the inside of your wrist. If they are more blue, you have a cool undertone. If they are more green, then you have a warm undertone. If you can tell probably ore they are a mix of both, you are a neutral undertone.

White Fabric Test

Pull your hair back in a tight ponytail and out a white towel or T-shirt around your neck and shoulders. If your skin's reflection ist more blue, you have a cool undertone. If your skin looks more yellow, you are a warm undertone and when your skin looks more green, then you are neutral.

Silver/Gold Test

Put on silver and gold jewelleries and have a look which flatters you most. If silver look better one you, you have a cool undergone. If gold looks better on you have a warm undertone. If you think both look good on you, then you might be neutral.

There is also the possibility to determine your undertone by looking at your eye and hair colour, however, I am not a fan of this techniques, as there are so many exceptions in this techniques. For example, I have green eyes (cool), but dark blond hair with a red undertone (warm). This technique only works for a few people.

These were the techniques to find your skin undertone that worked for me. I hope this was helpful. Let me know which undertone you are!

All the best,

Now You Can Have A Stressful Full-Time Job and Still Love Every Day

Hello everyone!

How are you?
Today's post is about a slightly different topic inspired by my latest job experience during holidays. I want to show you how you can get the best out of your day and personalize it to your purpose so that you enjoy every single day even though you are working full-time. I know, that I am still a student, however, I have followed this plan during my job experience, therefore, I can say that it works! Thus, there are no excuses for not working out anymore as this plan provides you enough time to workout every single day.

Of course, this day plan is personalized on me and on the time it takes me to go to the office, but by waking up earlier or arranging some things here and there, this plan'll also be appropriate for you. I also pushed the workout in the morning as I have experienced that it can be sometimes hard to leave the office whereas it does not matter that much when you come a bit later in the morning. Also you have a lot of energy in the morning and will have an incredible feeling for the rest of the day.

Detailed explanation

7 a.m.        Wake up, have a cup of coffee & put on my workout clothes
7.30 a.m.   Go running // HIIT Training
8.30 a.m.   Take a shower, get dressed, apply make up & have a protein shake while heading to the tube
9.45 a.m.   Arriving at the office & start working
12 p.m.      Lunch break - going e.g. for a salad with protein or wrap
1 p.m.        Continue with my work
6 p.m.        Quitting the office and going home
7.30 p.m.   Have a dinner e.g. Pasta with vegetables and pepper
9 p.m.        Hobby // Relax Time e.g. watching TV, reading a book or just spending time with the beloved

I try to go to bed at about 11 p.m. in order to get 8 hours of sleep, but it doesn't always work. However, you still have the weekends to get a good amount of sleep :) So I hope you found this helpful. Keep in mind that obviously, there have to be done a few arrangements regarding your personal situation, but I think it is really important to workout regularly even though you are working full-time in an office.
Do you find it hard to workout when you are working full-time?

Wish you a perfect day!

10 Important Things You Miss When NOT Living Alone

Hello guys!

How are you?
Today I want to introduce you to a lovely guest blogger. Her name is Louisa and she has a lovely blog about love, relationships and all her experiences. Please check her blog here *Link*. Enjoy!

Hey! Here's Louisa :) I just recently moved into my very first own apartment, so I wanted to share with you 10 reasons why you should live alone. I thought about living in an apartment with another roommate because of the social aspects, however, I was bothered if I would have to make too much compromises and couldn't stand my roommate or just don't share the same lifestyle like him or her. And by the way, unfortunately, I am a pretty intolerant person.

#1 More responsibility
When you are living alone, you have to take more responsibility, however, that only matures you in a positive way. You learn to handle or organise things on your own and you learn that you don't need anybody any more to organise your life.

#2 Your own apartment - your personality
The good thing about your own apartment is that you can create and design your place exactly the way you want it to be. Every detail and every item represents your own personality and in the whole apartment "is your spirit".

#3 Better social life
While being alone, you are automatically forced to socialize more as being alone can be frustrating in the beginning. Every weekend I hang out with other friends which improves my relationships a lot.

#4 No compromises
While living alone, you don't have to do any compromises with your roommate. You can set your own sleeping time or learning time, you can go clubbing when you want and come home with anyone who want and at any time. No one judges about your lifestyle.

#5 Everything is how you want it to be
Without a roommate, everything stays automatically cleaner, also all the food in the fridge is yours and no one uses up your cosmetic products.

#6 Start talking to yourself
A funny side effect is that you start talking to yourself or you just turn on the TV all the time. I have no clue why that happens :D

#7 Start cooking more
Ordering food for one person isn't always possible and sitting in a restaurant alone is also not always the funniest thing. Thus, you start cooking more, also because no one judges about your cooking skills. Additionally, when you start cooking for yourself, you might start cooking a lot healthier as you become conscience of what you put into your body.

#8 Better fitness level
No one judges about your extended sport exercises, so you can do as many exercises at home or you can also go as often to the gym or running as you want to. I just started doing sit-ups in the evening when I have nothing to do.

#9 Leave the bathroom door open
Besides the fact, that you could walk around naked, you can also leave the bathroom door open without worrying that someone will come around the corner.

#10 FREEDOM
The best aspect is that you can literally do what every you would like to do. You have all the independence and freedom to do everything. When you want to cook pasta after a clubbing night at 5 am. or when you want to watch TV while falling asleep, absolutely everything is possible.

I hope you enjoyed this post and when you liked reading this, then please check out her blog. Please have a look here *Link* and leave her a comment by telling whether you liked her post.

I wish you a wonderful day!

Lots of love,

My Wardrobe Essentials

Today I want to show you my personal wardrobe essentials that are the base of my wardrobe. Of course, everyone has got another must-have and this list also consists more of basics as this only shows my ESSENTIAL items. However, I think that these essential clothes can be useful by building up your own wardrobe because I wished to have this advise from my mother, friend etc.

#1 light pair of elegant shorts
My first wardrobe essential is a light pair of shorts. I prefer wearing black or darker t-shirts as I found them more flattering on me, so a white, light rosy or beige elegant shorts would suit perfectly to this style. It can also be worn for a casual day or a night out.

#2 light blouse

A light blouse (again white, light rosy or beige) is an absolute must-have in everyones wardrobe. A blouse is really versatile, it's works great for any business look, with a black skirt or it can look amazing with shorts for a more casual look.

#3 Top
It doesn't matter which colour or shape you choose, but you have to have a basic top. This item is perfect for hot summer days, as a sport shirt or just to wear it underneath another shirt.

#4 The Little Black Dress
This is a classic, but in fact, a classic black dress does suit to any evening and day outfit and always looks great.

#5 Sweater with a V-neckline

Some like cardigans or sweater with a round neckline or hoddies, I love sweater with a v-neckline. So I would choose a maroon sweater especially now for the upcoming autumn time.

 #6 - black blazer
My absolute favourite item in my whole wardrobe: my black blazer. I wear him to everything: Jeans, Skirt, Dresses, Shorts! A blazer just makes every outfit sophisticated!

#7 Good fitting jeans
It doesn't matter whether you prefer skinny jeans, boot cut or straight jeans, however, a really good fitting jeans is an absolute stabile. I seriously can not think about a live without jeans anymore and I would even say that the jeans became kind of a uniform for young people.

#8 beige pants
Next to a jeans for me it is important to have a pair of beige pants. Beige pants are not too bold like red trousers, they rather look elegant and are something different then the usual blue or black trousers.

#8 Basic shirt
This is probably too simple, but this is also a part of my wardrobe essentials: a basic top. Obviously, a black shirt looks good with everything, but a red, coral, green,... top with a basic cut is suitable to any combination.

#9 Black short skirt
The last stabile of my wardrobe is a black mini skirt. If you prefer to wear longer skirts, then get a longer skirt, but a black skirt makes the life so much easier. You can wear it to a business look, a night out or an everyday outfit.

So these were my wardrobe essentials. Again everyone has its own wardrobe essentials, but I hope this was helpful and you can add one of these clothing items to your personal list. So what are your wardrobe essentials?

Wish you a wonderful day!
Lots of love,

How to Find The Perfect Prom Dress For Your Body Type

Hello everyone!

How are you? Next week I am going to my prom dress resp. I intend to buy it because I feel that it will be really hard to find a dress that suits me perfectly and that I really like. Thus, I informed myself about which dress would suit my body shape beforehand and I thought I might give you an overview of all body types and examples for each one. Of course, there exist more body types than these four, but I think your perfect dress can be deduced from these suggestions. This is the second part of my Prom Series. If you missed the first part in which I talked about how you can choose the perfect neckline of you dress according to your body type, then have a look here. (Link

Petite Body Type

✧ sweet, feminine
✧ avoid a lot of fabric on the bottom

✧ create an illusion of curves by enhancing your waist
✧ ruffles especially on bust and hips
✧ show you athletic body with form-fitting dresses
✧ two colours

Pear Shape

✧ highlight your upper body e.g. eye-catching neckline
✧ ruffles or special detail on the top
✧ go for a full skirt on the bottom

Apple Body Type

✧ empire waist dresses
✧ solid colour
✧ try to include fabric on the bottom
✧ avoid bandage dresses or anything that highlights the midsection

Hourglass Body Type

✧ can wear almost everything
✧ enhance your waist with a waist band
✧ dress that is fitted on top and waist
✧ A-Line skirt or mermaid dress

Okay, these are my suggestions when you want to buy a new prom dress, however, you can also apply that to buying a normal dress. I hope that this might help you during your shopping. But again, as I have mentioned in my first Prom Series post, it's all about feeling comfortable and self-confdent and when you really like a dress, then just buy it. Nevertheless, it is also nice to highlight your best features and to really get the best out of your body.

How to Find The Perfect Dress Neckline For Your Body Type

Hello everyone!

With this post I want to introduce you to my new Prom Series that I am going to do during the next weeks. I have my final graduation party coming up and this is quite similar to Prom and as we don't have the typical Prom here in Germany, I thought it would be a nice idea to share with you my best tricks and tips for Prom. So today we start with how you choose the perfect neckline for your prom dress according to your body type in order to enhance all your beautiful features.

If you don't know which body type you are, then click here and I will give you an easy instruction how you can find this out.

 The Necklines

Sweetheart
Good For: hourglass, apple, fuller bust, nice neck
Avoid: if you are not comfortable with your neck area

Strapless
Good For: medium bust, toned arms, nice collarbone
Avoid: too small or too full bust, broad shoulders, fuller arms

Square Neckline
Good For: athletic body type, broad shoulders, small to medium bust
Avoid: large chest, narrow shoulders

V-Neck
Good For: hourglass, apple, fuller bust, full-figured, broad shoulders, large chest
Avoid: pear shape, if you want to draw attention away from bust

Spaghetti Straps
Good For: pear shape, narrow shoulders, smaller bust
Avoid: apple, athletic body type, hourglass, large shoulders, fuller bust

One-Shoulder

Good For: pear shape, nice collarbone, toned arms
Avoid: athletic body type, broad shoulders

Bateau
Good For: pear shape, narrow shoulders, smaller bust, nice collarbone
Avoid: apple, fuller arms, broad shoulders

According to your specific body features and your body type, you should be able to find your perfect neckline. Personally, I have an athletic body with broad shoulders and a smaller bust, so a square neckline would look best for me. However, if you find a beautiful dress that you totally adore, but it doesn't have your specific neckline, just get it. At the end, it's all about feeling self-confident because that's what people will recognise the most. I hope this was a bit helpful and let me know whether there exists prom where you live.

Wish you a wonderful day! Love,

The Easiest Way To Choose The Right Job For You

A lot of teenagers struggle with the huge question: what am I going to do after my school degree? What am I going to study? There exist a lot of methods how to find the right job for oneself, but here is the easiest way how to find the right job for you!

I had the same problem like probably every teenager has got. I didn't know what I wanted to do in my future and even very closely before my school degree I had no plan what to do or what to study. Researches in the Internet and all my friends and family told me that I have to do something where I have fun. Then other specialists said that I had to do something with my hobbies and again other people said that I have to focus on my strengths.

"Some start to connect their future perspectives to much with the subjects that are required in school"
However, I think the problem is that this, I call it now, "future-stress" is really intensified by school. I know that they want to help the students and what to take the fears away, but some start to connect their future perspectives to much with the subjects that are required in school and automatically go into a certain branch like biology, chemistry etc. This is a good think if you are really interested in one of these subjects, however, it should taken into consideration that there also exist other subjects that are not required in school and so you can have skills which you haven't recognized yet.

Also, it is nearly impossible to find a job where you will have fun when you even don't know all jobs and often don't have a clue what they are doing the whole day. Thus, I realised that there exist just one way to find the right job. Of course, you have to thing about what you like and you also can not study maths when you had terrible marks in maths, but basically, this helped me to find my "dream job".

Do an internship and just start studying the subject!
This sounds so easy and it really is! When I did my first internship, I just thought it would be good for my CV, but in fact, you really get to know a certain job. However, in order to find out whether a job really suit to you, you have to test it practically. And if you don't have the opportunity for that during an internship, then just start studying your preferred subject!

Finding your right job is like finding a good make up product!
You will never know whether this product works for you unless you tested it and then you can build your own opinion on this. The same thing works with your job. You will never know whether this is the right job for you unless you tested it. When you find out that you don't like your current subject, then you still have time to change it, but you will never blame yourself for not trying out your desired job when you are old.

I hope this was helpful! What is your dream job and how did you find this?

Wish you a wonderful day!
Lot of Love,

Who Else Wants to Get Into Christmas Mood?

Hello guys!
Last year I found it really hard getting into christmas mood whereas the year before that, I got into christmas mood too early. However, I think, now is the right time to slowly get into christmas mood and thus, I made up a little list of activities and things that helps me getting into christmas mood and therefore, will help to enjoy the christmas time a lot more. So without any further ado and detailed description, let's get started.

My christmas booster

❄ planning all important pre-christmas activities, like I do actually or e.g. shopping, outfits, make-up,...
❄ having an advent wreath and burn another candle every sunday
❄ burning (scented) candles, in general
❄ having an advents calendar
❄ putting up all the christmas decoration
❄ baking christmas cookies
❄ listen to christmas music & play songs on the guitar
❄ watching christmas movies

❄ snow!
❄ do christmas shopping with a friend
❄ watching christmas Youtube videos
❄ planning and doing my christmas make-up
❄ doing wintery / christmasy nail design (you are reminded of christmas every time when you look at your nails)

❄ going to a christmas market! (I know that some of you don't have them, but seriously they are soooo romantic and festive!)
❄ wrapping christmas presents
❄ the highlight: buying a christmas tree
❄ decorating the christmas tree
❄ sitting with decorated room, tree, tea and warm socks in front of the fireplace with my family

So these were the little things that really help me getting into christmas mood. I am really looking forward to christmas so much this year, mainly, because I love giving all the presents to my friends and family and because the whole family finally comes together and spends some time together! I hope you liked this post and tell me what helps you getting into christmas mood?

Wish you a wonderful pre-christmas time! Love,

The Unofficial Date for the Beginning of Autumn/Fall

(pinterest)

Does the fall really begins with 22th September? Or with the first leaves turning into yellow, orange and red, with the first grapes, the colder temperatures or the first cold that is catching you?

My (un)official date for the beginning of fall has something to do with the colder temperatures, but I feel primarily ready for autumn when I swap my closet from summer to autumn/winter clothes. I have an antique closet that consists among other things of two closet rails in a row. So I have to divide my closet into two sections and so I decided to divide them into seasons. I would prefer having just one closet rail because you have a better overview of your clothes and a lot of summer clothes can also be transformed into autumn clothes, but as this is an expensive and antique closet, I don't have the heart to buy a new one.

During the next weeks it can happen that I will skip one or two posts, because my exam weeks have just started. I hope you understand this, because school is really important for me.
I hope you found this post interesting & tell me when the autumn starts for you?

Have a wonderful autumn day!
Lots of love,

The Strange Thing That We Do On Trips

A lot of tourists end up by doing something like this:

They study the maps weeks ahead and in the foreign city they walk with they map constantly through the city and follow strictly the routes that are given.

However, during the last trips my boyfriend and I decided to hide the maps really deep in our bags which are just used in emergencies. We use the maps maybe the first day in order to get a bit of an orientation and then we start to walk on our own. Automatically you don't follow the tourist routes, because you know in which direction you have to go and therefore, you also go into the side alleys. Not only does this strengthens your sense of orientation, but also opens complete new doors in the country.

Personally I recognized that this helps me to get to know the city a bit better. I know this sound super superficial, because as a tourist I will never be able to really get to know a country within 5 days, but it help me at least not feeling like a complete tourist. It helps me seeing other aspects of the world, exploring new things and therefore, feel more personally connected to the city or to any place.

What are your on your trip? Do you also like to walk through a city without a map?
All the best,
