Führt Size Zero zur Essstörung?

Hey meine Lieben,

Warum?

Während einem Cheat Day genauso.

Back to the roots geht nicht wirklich.

Also hier für mich mein persönlicher 5 Punkte Plan:

(1) Instinktiv essen

Size Zero: Meine Woche 3 & 4

Hey meine Lieben,

Mein Lieblingsessen: Meine Quarkkuchen
Meine Stimmung: euphorisch, sehr experimentierfreudig
Quarkkuchen mit Nektarinen
Social Life:

Alles Liebe,

Size Zero - Deine Topform in 10 Wochen

Hallo meine Lieben!

Was ist Size Zero?

Was nun?

Alles Liebe,
Marie

Fitness & Diet Update!

Hello guys!

How are you?
As you might have know from my fitness and recipe posts, I have always been really into this area, however, a lot has changed during the las couple of days. If you want to follow what I am eating, then pleas check out my INSTAGRAM *Link*. I just joined it and post special meals that I do there.

Fitness
So since I moved out into my very first flat, I can't do my indoor home workout from DailyHIIT, Zuzka Light, Blogilates or Jillian Michaels anymore as my neighbours would literally kill me when I do that 5 times a week. Thus, I started to incorporate a lot of jogging in my workout schedule, but firstly, it starts getting really cold and secondly, I always had such a bad feeling while exercising at home.

Therefore, my decision was made: I joined a gym. I recently posted a post in which I tell you the benefits that I detected by joining a gym. Have a look at this post because it explains why I love the gym so much and would take to long to explain it here *Link*

Now I am exercising 4 days a week for about 1-1 1/2 hours. The surprising thing is that it doesn't appear to be so long in the gym. So I am doing a mix of cardio and strength, consisting of 5-10 min warm up on a cardio exercise, then 30-40 min of strength and again 30-45 min of cardio. For my cardio part I usually go running because I burn the most calories there. For the strength part I am currently doing either a full-bdy program or a 3 split program. In a few weeks I am also going to incorporate  a lot of free exercises into my strength program. If I want to try out something new, I just go into one of these courses that the gym provides.

Diet
The focus on my diet is to reduce my body fat, maybe also a tiny bit of weight, but not that much. I just discovered LOOX which provides free nutritional plans. I am going to write a review of this site in a few days, but so far I follow a nutritional plan which is protein based and is designed for 4 weeks. I usually see results pretty fast when I am consequent and so far, I am pretty goof in it, however, I allow myself to have 2-3 cheat meals per week. As I said before, I am going to write a review of this sit, but the plan is a great guideline and help to get your diet in the right direction.

I will let you know how much my body fat percentage has reduced and if I am able to keep this weight. Let me know what do you think about nutritional plans and joining a gym?

I wish you a wonderful day!
Love,

14 Simple Healthy Decisions in Your Diet - Weight Loss Tips

Hey guys!
Some of you have asked me how you can lose weight and how you can easily cut out calories in your daily eating plan? Today I want to list 14 simple healthy decisions how you can easily cut out a lot of calories. However, this is not about how to eat healthy like eating kale, almonds, whole grain etc. which, of course, is really important. Please take these tips just as an addition to your diet when you want to lose weight or struggle to keep your weight.

My healthy decisions:

No. 1:  ✓  fresh fruits  X dry fruits
Fresh fruits contain a lot more water so that you not only can eat more for the same amount of calorie and thus, they'll fill you up faster but also you'll get more nutritions.
No. 2:  ✓  balsamico dressing  X yogurt/caesar dressing
No. 3:  ✓  stevia  X sugar
No. 4:  ✓  crisp bread  X white bread
No. 5:  ✓  tea  X juice
Of course, it is important that you drink a lot of water. However, if you want to have a bit of a taste then grab to tea or if you really want to drink juice then use 1/3 juice and 2/3 water.
No. 6:  ✓  almond milk  X regular milk
Here I am talking about huge milk drinkers (min. 250ml per day). Otherwise these 10 calories in your coffee or tea aren't a big thing.
No. 7:  ✓  frozen yogurt  X ice cream
I actually made my own "frozen yogurt" by putting a pot of yogurt in the freezer. It has a quiet hard consistency, but tastes like normal frozen yogurt.
No. 8:  ✓  pumpkin chips  X crisps/chips
Slice your pumpkin in thin slices. Put them on a baking sheet with salt, pepper and olive oil and bake them for 15min at 200°C. No fat, but tastier than crisps.
No. 9:  ✓  sliced apple, berries, grapes with cinnamon  X chocolate, sweets
No. 10:  ✓  vegetable sticks (cucumber, carrots etc)  X chips, salty snacks
No. 11:  ✓  soya cream  X normal cream
A lot of people are scared of using soya products, however, soya cream has 190cal per 100ml whereas normal cream has 288cal per 100ml and seriously, you can not taste a difference at all.
No. 12:  ✓  vegetable stock  X ready sauces
Vegetable stock can not only be used as a spice for anything but also can serve as a real sauce by adding water. It really taste great with vegetables and you don't need these ready sauces full of additives, glutamate, artificial colours AND a lot of calories.
all photos from pinterest
No. 13:  ✓  super dark chocolate  X white, milk chocolate
Dark chocolate prevents from heart attacks and the slightly bitter taste of the chocolate will make you eat less.
No. 14:  ✓  smashed tomatoes  X ready-made tomato sauces
Okay, this is more an addition to No. 12, however, a lot of people just open up one of these ready-made tomato sauces (e.g. Barilla) when they are eating pasta. However, you are just eating unnecessary extra-calories, because these sauces contain a lot of sugar. Just buy a tin of smashed tomatoes, add salt, pepper, garlic and some italian herbs and you are done.

These were my 14 really simple healthy decisions in my diet. Nevertheless, keep in mind that you can eat milk chocolate, normal sugar or dry fruits as long as you keep it in moderation. I am also human and I also drink juice or eat other unhealthy things, but I hope that these decisions might be helpful in your weight loss process.

Comment below what are your little healthy habits?

Wish you a wonderful day!

Book Review: Unbearable Lightness by Portia de Rossie

Portia de Rossi, actor and Ellen DeGeneres' wife, wrote a book about her memories concerning her eating disorder. Because of being touched by her story and being surprised about her writing skills, I thought it might be interesting for you hearing my thoughts about this book. Anorexia nervosa is a dangerous trend in our society because more and more people suffer from it in our society. So if you are interested in getting to know a realistic view of anorexia, then keep on reading.

Favourite Apps: Calorie Counter - ShapeUp Club

In order to become a bit more lean and toned and to get my calorie income under control, I searched for a nice and handy app. After testing DietDiary, which was not really my cup of tea, I found the calorie counter by Shape Up Club. Shape Up Club is a food and exercise diary for Android which helps you to lose weight or to maintain your current weight.

How it works
✓ Personalized weight plan
✓ Set individual weight & nutrition goals
✓ Barcode scanner
✓ Ability to customize everything (such as daily calories & nutritional information)
✓ Track calories, nutrients, fruit & water
✓ Food database with 400 000+ items
✓ Track body measurements (waist, body fat, hips, arms etc.)
✓ Visible progress from charts
✓ Write daily comments
✓ ShapeUp Club is free and without ads
✓ Works without an Internet connection
✓ Complete backup and sync with website, ShapeUpClub.com
✓ Health Graph integration
✓ RunKeeper integration & Withings scale integration
Conclusion
I like this app because it shows you how much you can still eat at the end of the day and it really helped me to lose weight. I also had the experience that when I know that I have to add everything that I eat to this app, I start to eat less just because I am to lazy :) I like the different food choices, the topic with morning and afternoon snack and the fact that it shows you the fat, protein and carbohydrate  values. However, any additional services can only be done with a subscription to the ShapeUp Club which costs money. And let's say 40% of the options of this app have to be payed. Nevertheless, I will continue using it and can recommend it to anyone who still struggles with his daily income or doesn't want to calculate ever single calorie in his head anymore.
Have you ever tried any calorie counter app?
Wish you a wonderful day!

How To Have Homemade Sorbets Within 30 Seconds!

Hello everyone!
Today I made a wonderful tasty black pepper beery sorbet consisting of raspberries, currant and black pepper topped with a squeeze of a lemon. This literally took me less than 30 minutes to do, tasted absolutely amazing and is a fast and healthy alternative to your ice cream or any other sweets.

Serving: 3 ice cream scoops (1 portion)

Ingredients:

  • 100 g fruits (in this case berries)
  • 100 ml of cold water
  • 2-4 tsp. of stevia, sweetener or sugar
  • squeeze of lemon*
  • black pepper*
* optional

Guide
Put everything into a higher plastic bowl and blend everything with an immersion blender.
This is just a basic recipe. Of course, you can add any fruit or extra flavour to this sorbet. Because we make this sorbet that fast and it hasn't any change to freeze, the sorbet starts to melt quiet fast, so you have to eat it a bit faster. Enjoy your dessert without any guilt!

I hope you enjoyed this post & tell me whether you like sorbets?

Wish you a wonderful day! Lots of love,

Diets & Weight Loss - Trying to Capture A Myth

Hello everybody!
During this time of the year companies and all magazines will publish their recent diet and weight loss programs after the comfortable christmas and winter time. Did you know that the fitness and diet industry is one of the most profitable branches? Thus, it is hardly surprising that all of them try to make the most money by promising the dream body or the most amazing weight loss, of course, ONLY with their program.

There exist ton of different fitness and diet programs starting from extreme crash diets, extreme diet changes like Atkins Diet, Dukan Diet, Vegan or the controlled healthy eating program symbolized by Weight Watchers. However, after watching and studying all of these programs, I came up with this main rule that is the base of all diets and the key to weight loss and getting healthy: diet and fitness / income and outcome have to be in balance!

My beautiful graph :)

This is so simple that I found it hard to believe, but all these programs use this basic rule in different ways. Whether they decrease the income dramatically like in a crash diet, change the substances of your income completely like in a Vegan diet or just have a program that gives you a controlled eating plan like Weight Watchers. However, they are all not a miracle. They can help you by motivating you, by giving you an idea of what to eat and by keeping you on track with your diet, but you don't need them to lose weight. You can do everything on you own!

So let's have a look at your diet, at your food:

When you want to lose weight the simple thing is that you have to eat less which means controlling your portion size. You don't need a super-size menu, just eat as much as your body needs. When it comes to what to eat, then it's easy to say to eat healthy. Basically, this means to avoid lots of fats and an one-sided diet and to replace it with a clean diet with lots of veggies, fruits and "white" meat. The key to every diet is moderation, because nobody can scratch all sweets out of its diet, so always keep your discipline and control so that you can allow yourself 1-2 pieces of chocolate and not one bar.

Fitness:
Even though fitness is claimed to be the key to weight loss, only 20% of our fitness influences our weight. 80% of our weight loss is influenced by our diet! However, if you want to lose weight and get a defined and lean body, then you have to do sport. I do HIIT workout our Zuzana Light's amazing workouts (Link) about 5 times a week, but again, it's not about a certain program. The basic rule is that you find an exercise that incorporates strength and cardio and that you like and thus, it becomes a part of your routine

The main thing is that you keep income and outcome, food/diet and fitness in balance. Allow yourself some treats, but keep everything in moderation and keep the overview of what you are eating. When it helps you, then you can write it down.
Nevertheless, keep in mind that you don't need one of these expensive diet and fitness programs which lead to the yo-yo effect in the worst case! Weight loss starts in your head and with these two factors that have to be in balance, everyone can lose weight on it own for free!

I hope you liked this post and tell me whether you have had any experiences with diets?

Wish you a wonderful day! Love,

Shape Up for Christmas in 24 Days - The Advent calendar challenge

Hello everybody!
The advent time has started this weekend which means that we are finally in the christmas time and you might have already opened the first three doors of your advent calendar. Yes, I did so too and according to all the sweets and heavy meals that almost everyone starts to eat during this season and then desperately longs for a thinner body in the next year, I thought about a little challenge. This challenge is like your personal advent calendar because the challenge will last 24 days. 24 days of healthy clean eating with few christmas exceptions, 24 days of during sport regularly, 24 days of shaping up for christmas.

I am not talking about self-mortification and indulging all the christmas treats while others eat everything, which is the reason why I would call it a "lighter" challenge. Christmas cookies and other treats are a part of this christmas time and help to get into christmas mood and to really enjoy the time. Thus, eat your christmas treats, but in moderation. Keep in mind that you are on a challenge to get in a better shape till christmas so that you deserve the christmas meal and maybe also look a bit better in your christmas dress. So activate the competitive feeling in you and open with every new door of your advent calendar a new day of your personal health and fitness challenge. I swear, people will be jealous of your achievements!

So this is actually a challenge in which I participated today. I will keep you updated with my experiences and results. What do you think about this idea? Do you think such a "lighter" challenge inspired by a personal advent calendar might inhibit your christmas mood?

Wish you a wonderful day! Love,

Tone It Up Protein Pancake

Tone It Up is a famous youtube fitness channel that consists of Karena and Katrina who give everyone workouts, health advice and food recipes for free. One of these recipes are the Protein Pancakes which I tried out today. It is a healthy version for the usual pancake.

INGREDIENTS:
  • 1/4 cup egg whites
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (organic brown rice protein or whey)- visit your local nutrition store or wholefoods!
  • 2 tbs vanilla almond milk or skim
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbs ground flaxseed
  • After above ingredients are mixed together add 1/2 banana (mashed)- mash first, then add!!
  • Add a handful of fresh or frozen blueberries
Instead of protein powder I just used ordinary flour and because I didn't have blueberries I used a general berry mix. Finish with pinch of cinnamon and sugar and you're done.

I don't say this now because I really love these girls, but I absolutely loved this pancake. It doesn't contain any extra sugar, but the banana gives this pancake the extra flavour and sweetens the pancake enough. Also, the blueberries add something fresh to this pancake. So I can only recommend trying this pancake!

Do you know Tone It Up and have you ever tried out their recipes?

Wish you a wonderful day!

7 Effects Junk Food Has On You

A lot of people don't care about what they are eating respectively they don't know what effects junk food has on their whole health. Basically, there exist the standard effects that probably everybody know like overweight, heart problems and less energy. However, there are other effects that are often forgotten.

1) Skin problems - Junk food can cause acne or other inflammatory reactions because of increasing insulin level caused by the sugars, trans fats and starches.

2) Bloating - Eating a lot of junk food can cause bloating and more water weight, because your body is to balance the extra fluid and salt.

3) "White" products - White bread, white rice or other products without any grains can cause congestions as these white products don't aid digestion.

4) Acid Indigestion - Food high in saturated fat takes longer to process and meanwhile these meals high in fat create acid indigestion. If there is anything left in your stomach, which means that you haven't digested probably, excess acid can be a problem.

5) Mood Swings - Increasing and decreasing insulin level caused by sugar and starches can affect your brain chemicals and thus, your mood swings.

6) Aspirin - Tyramine, which is an agent in aspirin, is a chemical that can be found in the breakdown of a protein found in colorants, dyes, nitrates and has been known to cause headaches.

7) Depression - Studies have shown that people who eat a lot of junk food, were much more likely to experience depression.

10 Little Secrets

I was tagged on twitter to do this tag and because I think it is really interesting I am going to this right now. I tag everyone who is reading this post and please leave me a comment where you wrote your 10 Little Secrets. I am dying to know your answers!

1. What is one product that makes you feel like a million dollars?

This is definitely my Chanel Lipstick from the Coco Rouge line in the shade Mademoiselle. I think the packaging looks absolutely luxurious!

2. What is your skincare secret? / A passed down skin care tip
Use as less products as possible! I used a lot of different products in my skin care routine during the last years and I never was happy with the result. Now, recently I just cutted down my skin care products to the basics. I just use makeup remover, cleanser and moisturizer and I am super happy with this.

3. Share your hair care secret?
Use as less heat as possible on your hair. I don't style my hair the often with a curling iron or a flat iron. However, I used to use a blow dryer every single time after having a shower. For a few months now, I let my hair air-dry and this really prevents slip ends and also, the hair starts to grow much faster.

4. What is your biggest diet rule?
Eat every thing in moderation. It doesn't make any sense when you say: "I'm not going to eat any chocolate!" or "I cut down all carbs!" Because when you do that, you will have a craving for this and stop your diet. Do a compromise with yourself and eat carbs or chocolate, but just a smaller portion.

5. Any workout tips?
Find a sport that you really enjoy and do this sport regularly. It doesn't make any sense when you do a full body workout of 60 minutes once a week and then you have a rest for two weeks. Find a realistic routine, because only this will show any results.

6. Which perfume is your secret weapon?

I absolutely love the Dior Miss Chérie. Every single time when I wear this, I get a lot of compliments (also from men). I think this is the perfect mixture of a floral, female, and elegant scent.

7. Show us a clothing item of yours which always turns heads

The picture doesn't show the colour that well, because it is a really intense turquoise dress from H&M. I really like this dress, however, I always feel a bit observed when I wear it.

8. What is your most treasured piece of jewelry?

Most of the time I wear earrings and these are my favourite ones. Both of these earrings are from a local store in Munich. I received them as a gift, thus, unfortunately I don't know how much they have costed.

9. Who is your style crush?

I really like Lookbook.nu there are so many people that have an absolute breathtaking style. Celebrity-wise I really like Blake Lively, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Kate Moss and Leighton Meester.

10. Tell us something we don't know about you
My favourite spread is liver sausage with sprinkles :).

Hope you liked this tag and I wish you an wonderful weekend!

Quick Tip To Avoid Binge Eating I

Find an occupation or a hobby which require quiet a while and your full concentration!
By concentrating on other thinks than food you can get your head free and you might be able to ask yourself: "Do I really need to eat this? What is the sense of eating all this stuff?"

This might not be the most "healthy" solution, but by pushing your obsession from food to your hobby, e.g. sport, painting or blogging ;), you might be able to escape out of your binge eating!
Everyone has an obsession and nobody says something against an obsession for makeup or painting, so why not pushing your obsession to another way.
