NYX Caviar & Bubbles - Review & Swatches

Hello everyone?

How are you? After starting to create ore dramatic eye make up looks again, I discovered my NYX 10 Colour Eyeshadow Palette in the colour Caviar & Bubbles again, which was originally named Champagne & Caviar. As I am so thrilled about this palette and really enjoyed using it, I want to give you a review and show you some swatches.

Price: $11

NYX promises:

Look no further than these scintillating eye shadow palettes inspiredby runway trends and modern style. Available in 16 different color combinations, and sleek enough to fit into a clutch, you’ll likely want more than one. The shades are wearable, covetable and fashionable. Expect rich, lasting pigments and glamour.

The palette comes in a sleek, small black packaging with a sponge applicator that I don't find of much use as I only use brushes for applying my eyeshadows. The packaging also includes a large mirror and looks elegant, in general.

November Favourites!

Hello guys!
So I totally forgot doing my October favourites and before I forget it this month and will be mad at myself for the whole month, I will do my beauty favourites for November today. I hope you are as excited as I am to share with you my favourite products, so let's get started!

(from left to right)
1st row:
Max Factor Soft Resistant Makeup in 1 Light: This is my current everyday foundation and it is just amazing for pale ladies like me. It has a medium to strong coverage which covers up all my pimples and lasts really long, thus, it's perfect for my long university days.
NYX Blush in Mauve: I purchased my first NYX products this month and totally fell in love with them. This blush is the perfect colour between rosy, bronzy and peachy so that it just gives you the perfect subtle colour. I am not sure whether this blush is strong enough for really dark skin tones.
Manhattan Duo Eyeshadow: Unfortunately, this eyeshadow duo isn't available anymore, but it just contains a beautiful light, shimmery, rosy highlighting colour and a slightly darker, red-rose colour for the crease. I loved to use the light colour as a highlight this month.
Maybelline Super 24h Concealer: I have this concealer in the lightest shade and I love it. I use it under my eyes and and it really stays there for the entire day and doesn't go into your wrinkles.
H&M Bronzing Powder: You have to use this bronzer on a light hand otherwise you will look like a huge orange monster, but applied with gentle strokes over your cheekbones it just looks really fresh during this winter time. I use it as a blusher as I think the bronzer might be too orange for a natural sun kissed look.

2nd row:
NYX 10 Colour Eyeshadow Palette in Bubbles and Caviar: Oh my gosh, guys! Why did I discover this product only now?! This is the second part of my NYX Haul and I would call it a dupe for the Urban Decay Naked palette. Once I saw the palette, I had to have it and now I use it nearly every single day! I can totally recommend buying it!
Catrice Eye Brow Stylist in 020 Date With Ash-ton: Besides the name, the product is really great and cooperates perfectly with my natural hair colour with its ashy undertone. Again, you have to apply this product also with a light hand and slowly build up the colour of your eyebrows. I didn't now that for quiet a while and always ended up having two bold lines over my eyes.
Vichy Dermablend Concealer in 21 Opal: This is by far the best concealer for acne which I have ever used and I doubt that I will ever use another one. You only need a tiny amount of product to cover up any pimple no matter how red it is and it look super natural and not cakey at all.
Manhattan Eyeshadow Base: Another product that I used the wrong way for half a year. You only need a fingertip of product for two eyelids and then your eyeshadow stay on for the entire day even after doing a workout!
Labello Repair & Care: I am not sure whether I have already mentioned this product in any of my post, but I received this as a present and love it. It is not a normal lib balm, no, it consists if a deep-moisturizing formulation and a slightly rosy colour which is just the perfect combination for the frosting winter season.

I also really loved using the Balea Body Lotions with chocolate and chocolate / fig scent and the Essence Winter Edition Hand Protection Balms, especially the Apple Cinnamon Punch one, which I have just purchased recently and can be seen in my latest haul!

So these were my November favourites. I just realised that during the last two months I rediscovered quite a lot of old products respectively finally learned how do use them right. Well, that's another way to save money :) I hope you found a few of these products interesting and see you later! Also, comment below what are your favourite products for this month & are you excited about christmas?

Love,

Chanel Dupe! Catrice Nailpolish 840 Genius In The Bottle

This nail polish is one of my current favourite ones for the autumn time. It is the Catrice Ultimate Colour in 840 Genius In The Bottle and the special thing about this nail polish is that it shows different colour shades depending on the light and the perspective you are looking at your nails. It reflects in golden, green and brown shades - definitely unique.
And what does this colour remind you of? Yes, the Chanel Le Vernis Nail Colour 531 Peridot from their Fall Collection back in 2011 looks exactly the same and I was reported that the application of the Chanel is even worse than the Catrice one. The only difference is that the Catrice costs 2,49€ and the Chanel one costs 23€. So, even though this nail polish was from the fall collection in 2011, I think this nail colour is still really suitable for fall and looks absolutely stunning, so this is the perfect dupe for this!

I hope this post was helpful & tell me whether you buy dupes or the original beauty products?

Wish you a wonderful day!
Lots of love,

Astor Shine Deluxe Lip Gloss - Swatches

One of my favourite lip glosses is the Astor Shine Deluxe in 010 Fuchsia Sapphire.
The picture doesn't show the colour correctly, it is more a pink, raspberry shade as one can see on the swatches.

Astor describes the products:
"Maximum color and plumping impact for a shimmering sparkle effect and lustrous shine.
Enriched with Royal Jelly, Precious Gemstones or Pearls, the formula energizes, glamorizes and moisturizes lips. They look plumper by up to 35%, thanks to a genuine push-up effect, and they boast a scintillating shine that lasts up to 6 full hours!"
(Link)

The applicator is, as usual, nothing special. However, the application is absolutely stunning. One need the thinest amount on the applicator in order to achieve a colorful bright lip.
Thus, the colour payoff of the lipgloss is absolutely great. Additionally, it is not a sheer lipgloss. One can rather build this colour up so that one doesn't even need a lipstick underneath.

Swatches

The colour is absolutely beautiful. I would say that this is a dupe to the Lancôme Colour Fever Gloss 321 Dangerously Fever. It is a pinky raspberry lipstick with a bit of shimmer and it shines a lot.
It is the perfect colour in between too sheer and too bold, therefore one can wear it as a eye-catcher to a neutral eye makeup, to nice bronzy eye makeup and to many other looks.

The lipgloss is not sticky and stays on really long. I wouldn't say that it is lip plumping but because of the fact that it is so shiny, the lips are automatically more voluminous.
Also, the lipgloss smells a bit fruity.
This lipgloss costs about 7,99€, there also exist 10 other shades and I think it is totally worth it.

Have you ever tried the Astor lip glosses?

Mac Harmony - Swatches + Demo

Hey guys!

Some of you asked if I can show you a swatch of my MAC Harmony and what I think about it.
The product looks like this and costs 22€:

Firstly, you have to know that this powder is a contouring powder. This means that you apply it on certain party of your face in order to define it a little. The following picture give you a guide line. Obviously, you have to blend the powder into your natural skin tone really well.

The colour is really matt and has no shimmer. However it is not completely brown, but it is a more medium brown with a red under tone! Blended in the skin, it really adapts to my skin tone.

MAC's Harmony doesn't look so orange/red on the skin. Nevertheless, it has a slight red under tone! You have to apply this contour powder really softly, if you don't want to see the reddish, however you can't define your cheekbones very strong! So, I am not quite sure, if I really like that.

Here is a before/after picture:

Therefore, I wouldn't recommend applying this powder all over the face, but it's really good for a slightly and nice contoured cheeks!

Dupe!
If the MAC Harmony is too expensive for you, than I can just recommend the Sleek Contour Kit in medium. I made a review of this here. This is really a fantastic and cheap contour powder!

I hope this was helpful for you!

Sleek Contour Kit - Swatches

Hey guys!!

Wow, have you ever had such an enormous headache that you can't think enough except of: "STOP!!"
Well, actually I have it... Any tips against headaches?

Nevertheless, I wanted to share with you my new achievement :D
It is the Sleek Contour Kit in Medium!

And here are my swatches:

The highlighter:

The contour side:

I really love the Contouring side. The colour is high pigmented and blends really well in your skin colour. It doesn't have a red undertone, thus it looks natural, in other words like a normal shadow when you apply under your cheekbones.

However, I don't like the highlighter. It has got just a very sheer shimmer which you can hardly find. Especially when you apply it on your cheeks, the highlighter seems to disappear. It just works, when you apply it as a highlight under your eyebrows like a normal light eyeshadow.

What I really like is that Sleek included an introduction how to apply these two colours on your face. I think this is a really cute idea, especially if you are a beginner in make up.

I can just recommend this product. This contour colour turned out to be my fav one!! This means, I love it more than MAC Harmony ;)

Barry M Lipgloss - Swatch

Hey guys!!
Some people asked me if I have a Barry M Lipgloss and yes, I have!! ;D

I have got the Barry M Lipgloss No.5 Bubblegum Pink.
The Lipgloss looks like this on the website:

First of all, be aware of the smell!!! When you open the lip gloss, you will literally know why it's called Bubblegum.
Believe it or not, it smells like real bubblegum. So if you don't like bubblegum-smell or any penetrant smell then this is unfortunately nothing for you.

However, the pigmentation makes up for the smell.
Here are my swatches:

As you can see, it is a really strong, hot pink which suits perfectly to the upcoming summer!!! If you apply it with a base (e.g. a pink lipstick), it might be a dupe for the MAC Viva Glam Lady Gaga I.

Here's a shop where you can buy it :)

I wish you a wonderful day!!! Hugs&Kisses <3 data-blogger-escaped-span="span">
