Get Ready With Me: Dinner Party with Friends!

Hey everybody!

Today I went out to an evening dinner party with my friends in order to celebrate our graduation. It was not a fancy event or any posh restaurant, but rather a pretty casual and laid-back dinner, so I payed attention at not to be over-dressed. I more enjoyed doing a little more obvious make-up resp. two months ago I wouldn't call this an intense makeup, but because I haven't had the time to do that for the last months, this is pretty intense for me right now. So let's have a closer look.

Hair
I just had a shower right before I left, so I blow-dried my hair. Then I used a little volume spray on my roots, a shimmer spray in my length and I was ready to go.

Outfit
I tried to take a picture of my outfit, but I totally failed out of various serious. However, I tried to find examples for the clothes that I wore, so the blouse is not that minty but it is a good example in terms of the shape. Basically, I wanted to look casual chic and thus, I choose a basic dark denim skinny jeans and tugged in a dusty blue fluffy blouse.

Make-up

My base consisted of Astor anti shine make up in 201 sand, the Catrice Light Reflecting Concealer under the eyes and the Vichy Dermablend Concealer for concealing my pimples. Also I used the Bourjois bronzer as a blush on my cheeks and a tiny bit where the sun would naturally hit me.

After applying an eyeshadow base, I went on with the second colour from the left from the Catrice Absolute Nude Palette and applied it all over the lid. Then I used the Alverde baked eyeshadow in Glam Mauve and blended it into my crease. I lined my upper lashline with the dark brown colour from the Essence eyebrow set and used the light brown from the palette for my eyebrows. Lastly, I curled my lashes and used the Essence I Love Extreme Mascara.

For the lips, I decided to go with the MAC lipstick in Blankety. In total, I tried to focus on the eyes as the lipstick will come of during the dinner anyway.

So this was my makeup, outfit and hair for this evening dinner. Again, the makeup part was also pretty exciting for me as I haven't done any fancy eyemake-ups during my study time. But I am glad that I haven't forget how to do that :) I hope you forgive me that I wasn't able to show you my outfit in real and I wish you a lovely day!

3 Spring Outfits - From Business, Edgy To Casual

Hello guys!

Recently I talked about the latest spring trends that I considered to be most wearable (Link) and also shared with you my first spring outfit idea with a trendy short suit (Link). So before I am going to make a zillion posts of all my spring outfit ideas, I thought that I will sum them up to one post. Thus, today I want to show you 3 different outfits in three styles inspired by this year's spring trends. I hope you can find something for your style.

Outfit No. 1: Elegant Cut Out Dress

1. Off-white bowling bag by Morgan - 69,95€
2. Ivory belt by Marc O'Polo - 29,90€ (reduced)
3. Black Cut Out Dress by mint&berry - 49,95€
4. Sterling silver ring by Esprit - 34,90€
5. Sterling silver earrings by Esprit - 49,90€ (Link)
6. Black pumps by Zign - 64,96€ (Link)

This outfit is for a business day or during nighttime, so when you want to look a bit chic in general e.g. for a nice dinner. I wanted to incorporate only two colours: black and white/off-white/beige and a classy black dress with cut out details that are the latest spring trends. The pumps with the metallic tip add an extra touch to the outfit.

Outfit No. 2: Casual Neutral Bermuda Shorts

1. Brown vintage bag by Esprit - 39,95€
2. Khaki chino bermuda by Billabong - 74,95€
3. Dusty blue chiffon blouse by Esprit - 14,99€
4. Golden watch with leather strap by Nixon - 164,95€
5. Grey suede oxford shoes by Best Connection - 79,90€ (Link)

This outfit is perfect for a casual shopping day during a chilly spring day. In this outfit, I wanted to stay on the neutral side, so I stayed away from bright colours and rather worked with browns, khaki, and dusty colours like the dusty grey and dusty turquoise. Bermuda shorts are really in trend this year and I think golden accessories and a stylish pair of oxford shoes complete the outfit.

Outfit No.3: Edgy Dusty Rose Spring Outfit

1. Retro sunglasses by Promod - 11,95€ (Link)
2. 26 silver bracelets by Promod - 12,95€ (Link)
3. Brown studded sandals with heel by Vic - 148€ (Link - reduced)
4. Grey sweater with metallic detail by Esprit - 29,99€
5. black clutch with studs by Accessorize - 65€ (Link)
6. Dusty rose jeans by Conley's - 99€ (Link)

This outfit is inspired by the lovely Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and it is my favourite outfit. This outfit actually only consists of basics, but by adding all the accessories it starts to become so interesting. I also think that the combination of brown, black, grey and pastel colour works really well and looks incredibly stylish. This outfit is great for any occasion as it can be worn during a casual shopping day and when going out to a stylish bar.

So these were my 3 outfits inspired by the spring trends for this year. I hope you liked the outfits and found one that suits to your style. As spring time is not that warm where I live, the lighter and shorter outfits will come in summer. Let me know what was your favourite outfit out of these three?
So I wish you a wonderful day and I hope you can enjoy the warming sun somewhere.

Red Jeans In School - Outfit

When the temperature is getting colder and the sun hours are decreasing, it is time to wear your bright and colourful jeans again. However, I combined the warm brown autumn colours with the red jeans so that it isn't too bright and a bit more appropriate for this session. So if you want to know how my outfit looked like, then keep on reading!

The outfit
Sweater: Esprit. Shirt: Esprit. Trouser: TomTailor. Shoe: Buffalo London.

Jewellery & Make-up
Earring: Schmuckrausch. Necklace: jeweller. Perfume: Joop All About Eve.

For make-up I had the most simple make-up ever. I just had black pencil liner along my upper lashes and winged it out a tiny bit in the end. I hope you liked my outfit & then we see us in 2 days!

Wish you a wonderful day!
Lots of love,

Trendy & Bright Short Suit Outfit Idea

Hello everbody!
How are you? Do you have a nice day?

Ironically when I started to plan my Spring Series, it started to snow in my town, however, I don't see that as a sign right now and just keep on doing my spring series as I have planned to :) So I have already talked about my top 5 wearable fashion spring trends for 2013 which you can read here and I thought I'll start a spring series where I show you my outfit idea for every spring trend as some of you might find it hard to transform runway fashion to "normal fashion." So let's get started with the first trend - Short Suits:

My outfit:

  Freizeitoutfit Short Spring Suit Outfit

  1. White Blazer by Best Connection - 49,90€
  2. White Shorts by Vero Moda - 29,95€
  3. Necklace by Baur - 17,99€
  4. Coral pumps by Ravel - 68€
  5. White Bowling Bag by Morgan - 69,99€
  6. Coral blouse with ruffles by 3 Suisses Collection - 12,99€
I love the white shorts & blazer as it is not only a trend colour in spring but also is absolutely perfect for a bright but yet elegant and polished look. By choosing your short suit, when you don't buy the two pieces from one line, you have to pay attention that blazer and shorts have the same colour tone and cooperate with their textures. So a linen shorts doesn't work with a satin blazer. To put in some colour into this outfit, I choose coral for the blouse and the heels, but stayed with white for the bag and the jewellery. I think, two different colours in this outfit are totally fine. I went for a blouse as it is a more sophisticated look, however, it doesn't has the conservative cut but rather some ruffles which is a softer, beautiful version for spring and summer.

So this was one of my outfit idea for my spring fashion trends 2013 and I will come up with a few more outfit ideas during the couple of days. I hope you like this idea :)

Wish you a wonderful day! Love,

Knit & Leather in the Winter - Outfit of the day

Hey everybody!

Uff, it's has been a hard time for me the couple of days. Learning for my final exams is so incredibly time-consuming that I can not even remember when I just sat down and wrote a blog post for you without worrying about thousand of other things. But finally (!) here I am writing to you and indulging myself to have break, because I really needed it. I actually really struggled with giving my brain a break and stop learning as I start to get a bit addicted to working.

So I thought it might be a great idea to share with you my outfit as this is an easy start for my writing season :) It is freaking cold outside, however, I wanted to look a bit stylish and tried to cooperate two different textures: knit and leather.

The outfit

Leather shorts: H&M. Tights. Knit sweater: H&M. Black top (underneath): New Yorker.

Shoe-wise I would recommend wearing black boots either some nice black riding boots, black ankle boots or some high oxford boots. I went for the last one. I really liked this outfit because the knit sweater really keeps you warm, so that you can wear some sexy leather shorts even in the winter. Also the chunky fit of the sweater does balance the tightness of the leather shorts and makes this whole outfit perfectly comfortable for the winter time. I added a black thin long sleeve top underneath as the knit / wool sweater is a bit scratchy.

This was my outfit for today. I hope you don't mind when I can't keep up with my regular blog posts! What are you wearing during these cold days?

Wish you a wonderful day! Love,

3 Christmas Outfit Ideas for 3 Different Occasions

Hello guys!
5 Days left and then it is Christmas! I seriously can't believe it because of my exams, the weeks flew by without any christmas emotions and so FINALLY today I can start getting into christmas. I actually went to a really funny trip to the christmas market with my course today and on Friday I will wrap all the christmas presents. So I thought this is a great time to show you my 3 christmas outfits that I am going to wear for three different occasions. Perhaps this might be an inspiration for your christmas outfits.

Outfit No. 1: The laid-back family evening time - Christmas Eve

Trousers: Only. Sweater: Only. Socks: Christmas Socks.

In Germany, the Christ Child comes on Christmas Eve, so we exchange our presents in the evening and no one goes out in that evening. Thus, we all stay together in our little family throughout the whole day and there is seriously no need to dress up. I am just going to wear my Christmas sweater and my Christmas socks.

Outfit No. 2: The official family meeting - 1st Christmas Day

Dress: H&M. Tights. Heels: Buffalo. Jacket: Esprit.

This is a great outfit for an official family meeting because it is a bit dressed up and fashionable, but still rather cute and sweet because you don't want to look to overdressed on a family dinner especially when all your grandparents and grandaunts etc. are there. Because the dress is sleeveless, I added my new tweet jacket which I absolutely love and just adds a glamorous touch to the outfit.

Outfit No. 3: The posh Christmas dinner - 2nd Christmas Day

Sweater: Montego. Skirt: Vero Moda. Tights. Heels: Buffalo.

The sequin skirt is definitely the eye catcher of this whole outfit and suits perfectly to a posh dinner in an expensive restaurant. I wanted to incorporate the signature christmas colour red into my outfit which is the reason why I chose this sweater. You can also wear a nice blouse to the skirt.

So these were my three Christmas outfit ideas for three completely different occasions. I hope you found this post helpful and you were able to get a bit inspired by my outfits. Let me know in a comment below what you are going to wear for christmas or what do you think is the perfect christmas outfit?

Wish you a wonderful pre-christmas time!!! Love,

Plaid Wool Skirt - Fall / Winter Outfit of the Day

Hey guys!
It is even November which means that the fall is literally rushing and I just realised that I haven't worn my favourite fall clothing items yet which are my fall skirts and shorts. So today's outfit is all about my beloved plait wool skirt which is casual but dressed up in the same time. It's hard to see on the photo, but the skirt has a bow on the waistline and also some really cool pockets. I combined a burgundy sweater with the dark blue skirt because the plaits of the skirt have some dark red colour details. I also decided to pair my non-transparent grey tights with my grey suede booties so that I stay in one colour range on the bottom.

The outfit

Sweater: Montego. Skirt: Esprit. Tights: from the grocery store. Boots: Gabor.

Make-up, Nail polish & Jewelry:

Nail polish: Nivea Carrot Brown *discontinued*. Bow Earings: Tallulah Tu.
Make-up: inner corner - light pink. eyelid - shimmery pink. crease - light matte grey. -eyeliner - smudged grey eyeliner pencil

This was my outfit for today. It is really frustrating that it start getting so cold so that you slowly get more limited in your clothing choice. However, I hope you liked this post and comment below whether you also love wearing skirt with boots during the fall time.

Wish you a wonderful day! Lots of love,

Corduroy Trousers and Black Blouse - Outfit of the Day

Hey guys!
Every woman knows that: We have clothes in our wardrobe that we hardly ever wear, but still we don't throw them away. A research even showed that a woman only wears about 10% of her wardrobe and I have to admit that I probably only wear about 25% of my clothes. So I rediscovered a black blouse which I own for 2 years, however, I have probably worn it five times. The problem with a black, quiet conservative cut blouse is that it can easily look like you are going to a funeral. Or you just look depressed and ill. Nevertheless, after two years I finally came out with an outfit that I really like.

The outfit

Blouse: Vero Moda. Corduroy Trousers: Mavi Jeans. Belt: H&M. Shoes: Buffalo Shoes.

Because of the black of the blouse, I wanted to balance this outfit out by wearing colourful trousers. So I decided to go with some soft red corduroy trousers which are perfect for this season. In order to combine these two colours, I tucked the blouse in the trousers, used a black belt and went for black patent-leather shoes. Even though there is a lot black going on, the patent-leather is still a real eye catcher.

Jewellery, Make-up & Perfume
Necklace: Bijou Brigitte. Earrings: Jeweller. Perfume: YSL Paris.
Make-up: matte medium brown - all over the lid. white - inner corner. black winged liner.

Jewellery-wise I kept everything more in the gold, classic, subtle section because the black blouse is bold enough for me. Also my make-up was pretty simple, but I really love this simple look and YSL Paris transports exactly this bold but feminine, elegant feeling.
I hope you liked this outfit and comment below what do you think about corduroy fashion?

Wish you a wonderful day! Lots of love,

Red Blazer with Jeans - Outift!

What I hate about street fashion during fall/winter time is that people stop wearing colourful clothes. However, I think that it is totally okay to wear colourful clothes during the whole year and when you want to wear a neon-green top with a pink skirt in the winter then do it! Today I added a bright red blazer to my outfit. Of course, you have to be a bit self-confident to wear this blazer, but is definitely an eye-catcher.

Blazer: Montego. Top: NewYorker. Jeans: Sublevel. Ballerina: YKX&Co.

This was my outfit for today. I am always suprised how easy it is too make a look to something special and chic by adding a blazer. The rest of my outfit is kept in neutral black or in "laid-back" navy blue colours so that I don't look like a parrot. I also wore pretty simple jewelry, my silver clock and some simple silver studs with a clear (diamond) glass.

I hope you liked this outfit & tell me what do you think about bright colours in the fall/winter time?

Wish you a wonderful day!
Lots of love,

I'm In The Army Now! - A Military Fall Outfit!

A few days ago I walked through Zara, saw this cool army green military blouse  and immediately felt in love with it. I can think of a lot of cool and casual outfits  for fall and this would look really good with a jeans short for next summer. The blouse is a bit thicker than usual and is with 29€ really effort able.

The Outfit

Blouse: Zara. Top: Street One. Jeans: Sublevel. Shoes: Chucks.

Jewelry

Earrings: Bijou Brigitte. Bracelet: from Africa. Nail polish: Esprit.
That's the outfit for today! I kept the rest of my outfit in warm colours and the jewelry in dark steeling steel. I can think of loads of different outfits with this blouse for example with nice boots or black trousers.

What do you think about the military trend?

Wish you a wonderful day!

Look As Posh As Victoria Beckham!

Hey guys!
Today I want to show you my outfit that I wore today. I currently really love doing these kind of posts and I hope that you like them as much as I do. So because it was quiet chilly outside, but not super cooled I decided to wear a dress. When I was in university, I realised that I was dressed completely in black, but I think it doesn't look that bad.

The Outfit

Dress: H&M. Belt: H&M. Tights. Blazer: H&M. Scarf: NewYorker. Ballerina: Gabor

Jewellery:

Clock: Christ. Bracelet: Mueller. Earrings: Tallulah Tu.

I like to glam myself up for school and to look sophisticated, but I know that not everyone is that weird like I am. So I recommend this look for a luxurious dinner in a restaurant, any cultural visit (theatre, opera etc.) and as a elegant business dress.

I hope you liked this post and let me know whether you like wearing black?

Wish you a wonderful day!
Lots of love,

Edgy Short Leather Pants Outfit!

As it start to get a tiny bit colder these days, I though I am going to rock my short leather pants today before I have to start wearing them with tights. Unfortunately I don't own black leather ankle boots otherwise these would have been my choice for this outfit instead of my chucks. Jewelry-wise I just wore simple silver studs and no necklace because the shirt was a statement enough.

The Outfit

Blazer: H&M. Top: H&M. Leather shorts: H&M. Shoes: Slim Chucks

I haven't realised that I wear that much from H&M, but they do really great stuff. Hope you liked this post! What do you think about leather pants?

Wish you a wonderful day!
Lots of love,

Sexy Business Outfit of the Day

Here I am, back from my trip to Amsterdam! It was totally tiring and exhausting, but I saw so much things, it was absolutely amazing and so much fun. I ought to mention that my exam weeks start in one week, so it might happen that I have to skip 1-2 posts because school comes first. So I am back with a sexy business outfit that I wore to school today.

The Outfit

Top: H&M. Skirt: Zara. Blouse: Montego. Ballerinas: Gabor.

Accessories:

Clock: Christ. Necklace: Accessorize. Earring: Accessorize. Hair pins: Accessorize.

Make-up:
nude e/s - all over the lid. white e/s - inner corner & under brow bone. plumy mauve e/s - crease. manhattan chinese ink eyeliner. essence I love extreme mascara

Inspired by the earrings and the hair pins, which I have received as a birthday presents, I created this elegant, but sexy outfit as this might be probably the last hot summer day in this year. Also the manhattan chinese ink eyeliner, which also has been a present, does an amazing job and is super black.

I hope you liked this post & I am looking forward to writing more posts for you!

See you then!

OOTD: The Last Cold Days

  Dress/Zara - Blazer/Esprit - Shirt/New Yorker - Black Tights - Necklace/Accessorize

Today was hopefully the last day where I had to wear warm clothes, because for the weekend we are expecting beautiful sunny 25°C!
Thus, I want to share with you my last winter/spring outfit before I officially transform my whole wardrobe into spring and summer!

I am actually not a huge fan of black clothes, however, I think that black suits to this dress so well.
Actually, this dress is a mini summer dress which I transformed into a warmer outfit with some thick black tights and a shirt plus blazer on top. I do not see the sense in buying a dress that can be just worn during the summer time. That would mean, at least for me, a waste of money.
Also, I think that the bright red colour of the dress brightens up the grey weather outside and brings me in a more positive mood.

I wrapped up the sleeves of my blazer so that this outfit doesn't look too conservative. Therefore, it appears a bit more casual and can absolutely be worn in school.
In order to balance the bright colour from my upper part of my body, I added a colorful pearl necklace to this look, which also has got red pearls. This colorful necklace makes this look again a bit more casual and playful.

Hope you liked the look and
what do you wear when the weather is absolutely terrible?
